After a month of training, weeks of pain, days of endless orders from the superiors, hours of honing the basics of killing titans, and minutes of fear from each second that has passed made the soldiers persistent and physically acceptable in the eyes of their leaders. The only problem that they were baffled about was the mental stability of the soldiers, would they be able to save lives? Would they be able to handle their fear and nervousness? Would they rather ignore the voice inside their heads or listen?

Deep inside every person in the base was a hidden fear. Fear of getting eaten by creatures that trampled the lands for over a month, the image of bloodshed stayed in their minds.

In under a month, Squad Venom honed their skills the best as the people entrusted their hope to them. For weeks, Y/N was seen as the ideal leader that Arthur hoped to see. In the daytime, she would train each of a hundred soldiers in hand-to-hand combat, the basics of the ODM gear, and drilled the information inside of their minds about the beasts even if it was only a pint of knowledge.

And when the night falls, she would train herself and her members which led to sleep deprivation and daily headaches. As the soldiers in the barracks were resting and praying to survive the mission, the Green eyed-devil was outside, her endless routine cost her the average sleeping time that a human needs to function properly.

8:50 pm was the time.

The last night before the big mission that was given to us. The last time that I will see the faces of the soldiers that I have trained.

I just finished my training as General reminded me to rest for the remaining hours of the night. I went to our room and let the AI scan my biometrics before the door automatically opened. I went in and saw how lonely the place was, I continued to my room and took a shower.

My bedroom was fairly nice. A large bed, occupying the middle part of the room, two nightstand standing on the sides of the bed, a television hanging from the wall, meters away from the bed and a table under it. The bathroom on the left side of the room where a toilet, a shower, a bathtub and a large vanity stood. On the right side of my room was my closet and changing area. A bookshelf beside the tv and some paintings made by Valentina herself.

I bathed myself and dried my hair with a hairdryer. After an hour inside of my room, I went out and directed to the doors of my family—I mean my comrades. I knocked, they all opened the door and asked, "Is it time?" which I nodded.

We all walked to the kitchen and grabbed some snacks. "No alcohol?" Connor asked, shaking the bottles of the beverages in his hands. "No alcohol." I and Valentina responded. The light that was only turned on was the kitchen light. The snack platters and the cans of soda sat on the marble tabletop. We all opened the sodas the same time and said, "Cheers!"

"So, this will be our 50th group mission." Audrey said as she took a sip of her drink. "Yeah, 50th. I just realized how many missions we had," Tina replied, I chuckled. "Time does fly fast," I softly said. "Do you guys remember our last mission before the titans got involved?" Alex asked as we all laughed. "The time when Connor got stuck and Audrey tried to save him?" I asked as Tina giggled. "Yeah that time," she said, continued chuckling while reminiscing those funny memories. "You were too buff to be saved! It was your fault why I got stuck too!" Audrey exclaimed. "Is it my fault that you wanted to save me when I just needed to jump while gripping onto the wires?" Connor said to Audrey in a teasing voice. "Yeah Drei, you were so worried for him!" I added as Audrey looked away, embarrassed. "I-i was just worried that he might not get out that's all!" Audrey remarked as we laughed at her being embarrassed.
