Chapter 41- take a hint

September 14th, 1988

Paul and Kurt from Kurtsworld sat in Green Day's tour bus, alone. Paul was asked to go on tour with them to take photos, but was taking the night off since Green Day was playing a festival that day and the festival already had a photographer.

The couple decided to take this time to plan their wedding at the table.

"So who are your groomsmen again?" Kurt asked

"Well I have Ryan as my best man, but for my groomsmen I have Mike, Eddie, Chris, Fred, Kurt, and Billie. What about you?"

"For my best man I have my brother. Ofc you met him before. The first time we hung out with him was with my other buddy, Taylor"

"Yeah we've hung out with him a bunch. He's a lovely man"

"Yup. Then I have Taylor, Thom, Damon, Mark, Michael, and Travis"

"Can you remind me who everyone is other than Taylor and Thom?" Paul asked

Kurt nodded "Yup. Okay so my friend Damon Albarn I met when I was visiting my brother. I think we were all in high school at the time. Anyway, Liam absolutely hated Damon. I didn't really know why. I think it was because Damon was hot and had more money. So one day Liam takes me to his high school for a day and points out Damon to me. Being myself I walk up to the kid and I say 'Hey I'm Kurt from Kurtsworld. I'm Liam Gallagher's 14 year old brother visiting from America. I heard he hates you' and then we talked about it and we became besties"

"Beautiful. And who's Mark?"

"Mark Hoppus? Well I met Mark at the same time I met Travis Barker. We met in freshman year when I got back from my trip to see my brother. They were running around naked and then I said 'hey if you can run 1/4 of a mile naked I'll get you some weed' so they did, and I gave them weed. We became besties after that"

"Love that. And who's Michael?"

"Michael Cera? I met him in middle school. People were bullying him because they said he looked like a bird. I then screamed and bullied the kids who bullied him. The rest is history"

"I love that. I'm so glad that I will get to call you my unofficial husband"

Right before they kissed, Billie barged in

"Paul, can you still sing?"

"Yeah, why?"

"The band before us just dropped out of the lineup"

Paul stood up "And you want me to fill in for them?"

"Yes. Please. I'll pay you extra. I will help pay for your wedding. I'll do anything"

"Well what do you want me to sing?"

"Remember your old EP?"

Paul nodded "Yeah. But I don't have a guitarists or anything"

"It's fine. We'll make it work. Just come on" Billie said, grabbing onto Paul's arm and pulling him

Paul turned his head to look at Kurt "You can watch from backstage"

"OMG OKAY" Kurt exclaimed, then standing up to follow them.

Paul was basically thrown on stage, and people were going crazy. Literally so many people were in the audience.

"Uh hey" Paul said into the mic, making people cheer back "Uh so two minutes ago I was just chilling and planning for my wedding, and now I'm here, performing in front of thousands of people. I haven't sang in front of a crowd in years, and I doubt anybody knows who I am..."
