I walked with John B as we made it to the dock where my family's boat was, he climbed in and helped me in as we walked to the door. I felt under the matt and used the key to unlock the door 

R- you have 6 minutes to grab them, I don't know when my family will come out and if we get caught, I'm sure they will have you arrested

J_ woah so comforting 

I smirked at him as he walked inside but stopped when we heard talking man us both crouch down and pure over the rail just to see Sarah walking on this plank thing with Topper yelling to her

T- be careful sarah! i mean it be careful!

S- it's fine topper!

she fell into the boat which scared Topper as I felt John B jumped behind me making me turn my head to see his worried expression confusing me. I tapped his leg making him look down at me as I pointed downwards signaling for him to go, he listened and went in to grab the gear as I watched out for my family. Once he got the gear we both quickly got out of there rushing back to the HS as the group looked at us

P- took you long enough

K- we were certain you guys got caught

we got back in the boat as JJ started strapping up John B

R- nope he was just too busy staring at my sister to grab the gear

they all looked at him confused as his eyes widen, I chuckled to myself watching as they finished getting him ready. he stood on the edge as we all looked at him

JJ- anyone know the rules of diving?

R- just be careful of the bends, don't go down too far or too fast. you don't have a long time before you run out of air, got it Routledge?

J- got it

JJ stood in front of John B putting his hand on his shoulder

JJ- diver down

J- diver down

John B did a sulent before JJ pushed him into the water, we all looked over watching hoping to see him when we heard another boat pulling up. we all saw it was the cops and mentally cussed

P- just follow our lead and JJ don't talk

JJ tied the rope from their boat to ours as he got into our boat checking it out

Sh- you guys have more of these life vest

K-uh yup JJ-

JJ opened the box thing showing him as he nodded, he went into talking about how the lake was closed and dismissed us when we asked why. he finally left after we said we were heading out, but the second he was out of sight we looked over the boat

P- he is definitely out of air

K- why can't we see him?!

JJ- come on John B

R- he will make it up, it's him we are talking about here

literally the second those words left my mouth John B popped up out of the water and climbed into the boat as we all let out a sigh of relief. he held this plastic bag but before we could even look what was inside these two men in a boat started driving towards us. John B started to drive the boat before we all started panicking realizing they were following us right when a gun shot rung out

JJ- everyone get down now!!!

we all dropped to the boat as we watched them shot, I realized John B wasn't ducking as he was still driving so I stood up slightly right as JJ grabbed my wrist

JJ- what the hell are you doing?! get down!

a gun shot went past my hand making me duck a little before I saw Kie grabbing a net, I ripped my arm away from JJ's and helped her as we stopped the boat. we got to a safe area as we all tired to catch our breaths on what just happened

P- that was crazy

JJ- what the hell were you thinking Rowan?! you almost got shot!

I looked at him standing so we were looking at each other

R- aw is little maybank worried about me?

he scuffed looking away as he stepped back

JJ- of course not! I wasn't the one worried

R- whatever you say maybank, whatever you say

we all looked at John B as we noticed he was opening the bag but just to pull out a compass

K- great we almost died for a compass

P- this is ridiculous

R- I almost got my head blown off for this

John B shook his head holding the compass as we all continued to look at him

J- this compass was my father's

we all looked at him confused as we parked the boat seeing we were at a old motel that was destroyed

R- guys wasn't this the motel scooter was staying at? you know the one who went missing?

K- yeah it is

JJ- we should check it out

I nodded as JJ and I started to walk but getting stopped by Kie

K- John B go with them, you are mature ish and I don't trust them

we both scuffed as John B sighed putting the compass in his pocket before catching up to us, we walked into the motel going to find his room. once we got there JJ did some stupid knock 'housekeeping thing' before walking in. I looked around for small clues as did they before JJ found something

JJ- guys come here

we walked over to him looking inside this vault that had money and a gun, we back away from JJ as he pointed the gun at us an the wall

J- put that back are you nuts!?

R- you just put your fingerprints on evidence you idiot!

JJ- it's fine! take a picture wo-

he didn't even get to finish his sentence when we heard a noise on the window, we ran to it and saw Kie and Pope signaling for us to go, we quickly cracked the window and climbed onto this small roof thing. I pressed my body against it as JJ held on next to me, John B signaled for us to stay quiet as we heard talking from inside the room. I decided to be an ass and fake slip which caused JJ to panic as he reached out to grab me wrapping his arm around my waist pulling me back up to him right as the gun dropped from his hands. we looked at each other and for a moment it felt like the world went quiet that was until we were snapped out of the trance by John B snapping his fingers. once the coast was clear we jumped down and ran to the boat fast as we got in

K- did you guys find anything??

JJ- well besides Rowan being dramatic, we found this

he pulled out the gun and money making kie gasp and same with pope

P- oh my god we are going to jail, my scholar has went out of the window

JJ- relax pope man think about it, all this money will get you through school and everything

K-we need to put those back JJ!

R- especially the money dummy, if we get caught with that we all are dead

JJ scuffed putting the money and gun in his pocket as he looked at us

JJ- you two have no room to talk mainly you Rowan. you both are privilege with loads of money, some people like John B Pope and I don't have that so for once don't put your two senses into this

I looked at him no words following as John B continued to drive the boat, the second we got there we all went to the hammock, and I laid down as Kie sat on the other end with the guys on the ground, no one said a single word.
