We have to make a turn here at the gas station tomorrow morning to pick up some batteries and stuff.
Going to the store is pointless since we can get 20% off here for working.
You're probably wondering why we can't take them now. It's the rules.

6 hours later...

"Frank! Your turn at the front again!" I yelled.
"Alright!" Frank yelled.
I went to the break room and sat down.
I took out my phone and saw a text from Ray.

Ray <3: hey how's work?

Y/N: kinda boring rn, we have 4 more hours to go.

Ray <3: should I come hang around?

Y/N: you don't have to.

Ray <3: I'm omw.

Y/N: park at the back I'll open the door for you.

Ray <3: sure thing.

"Why's there a heart next to his name?" Frank asked.
"Jesus Frank! You came outta nowhere!" I yelped.
"Sorry. But about the heart tho?"
"I uhm..."
The bell rang before I could answer and Frank walked away.
Fucking hellllllllllll.
There was a knock at the back door.
I got up and opened it.
"Hey" Ray smiled. He looks so sweet with that smile of his.
"Hi" I returned the smile. "Take a seat, I have a 2 hour break while Frank is working"
"Thanks"
We both sat down and started talking about music.

After a while we went to the front counter to keep Frank entertained.
Then the lights cut off.
"Shit" I said.
There was a knock on the window.
Some of the customers between the shelves turned to look at where the sound came from.
And the. The window broke and someone stepped in.
"Down" Frank whispered pulling on both of our arms.
"Shhh" Ray hushed.
I was starting to panic.
What if we don't make it out alive?
What if we die right now?
Heaven help us.

Gunshots were fired and I covered my ears from the screams of those around us.
Frank was holding my hand tightly and Ray had his hand on my shoulder.
There were 5 more gunshots and then everything went quiet. There was footsteps approaching the window.
Frank got up and took a picture of the person and right then and there.
The last gunshot.
Then the person ran away.
Frank fell onto his knees holding his shoulder tightly.
"Frank?!" I yelled. "Stay awake! I'm not fucking losing you!"
I got a towel and pressed it onto the bullet wound.
"You're not dying! Do you understand me?!"
Ray picked Frank up and I looked over the counter.

There was pools of blood all over the floor.
Dead bodies were under on of the shelves that had fallen.
I felt sick looking at the scene.
The blood was on the walls and floor and some of the survivors were sitting and crying on the floor.
"Call the police" I said to one of them, handing them money to use the phone. "If they ask for information tell them to call this number" I have them a piece of paper with my number on it.
