There were a lot of people with L as their starting name — Lucifer, Lilith, Lot, Lust, or entirely someone else. Gabriel wasn't sure she would like to open it, much less look for the person who gave it to her. The gift was definitely something unpleasant. If anything, it could contain a deadly power.
Seeing as Gabriel had frozen to her spot, Malphas picked up the box and gestured for Gabriel to follow him. "It's better to open this to the castle."
"Are you going to put the demon children at risk?" Gabriel hated it when Malphas had no consideration to other people, may they be demon. She hated how he didn't care whatever happens to the others. It was as if everyone was nothing to him. He had no regard for life.
Malphas gave out a laugh, as if the situation was funny. "May I remind you that you are in Hell, and the demon children are better than you are right now? If I were you, I'd worry about myself."
True enough, the demon children were much powerful than Gabriel right now. She shouldn't be worrying about the others, but she couldn't help it. It was in her nature, and she didn't like the castle part. Malphas made it look like a slaughter house.
"Are you coming or not?"
"Coming."
A dark look passed on Malphas's face, along with a glint in his eyes. "Of course you are."
Gabriel didn't need to think twice about it. She knew he was having a sexual comment yet again.
Luxuria. Gula. Avaritia. Acedia. Ira. Invidia. Superbia. The seven capital sins, which were now only six since Malphas killed the other one, were posted around the walls. Each image depicted their true essence. The first parchment was Luxuria, Lust. The Luxuria's shifting images were real-like moving motion. Unlike the Lust they met, this Luxuria on the parchment was cold-beautiful. The demon had no clothes, and was looking directly at Gabriel, tempting her. Deciding not to dwell on Lust, she moved to the next parchment, which was Gula, Gluttony. Unlike Luxuria's parchment of nakedness and voluptuous body, Gula was far, far different. Gula was thrice the size of Luxuria. Aside from that, the parchment of Gula was burning, and Gabriel instantly recognized it. Gluttony was killed by Malphas.
She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. She still couldn't quite understand Malphas. How could he kill his own kind?
Then there was Avaritia, Greed on the third parchment. Avaritia had no images. The parchment was empty, blanked. Gabriel couldn't help but wonder why it had nothing.
