Silent Love (ON HOLD)

Chapter 7 - The Brother

His face had amusement written all over it.

I moved a little wanting to get out of this awkward, situation.

Suddenly Bennett spoke "Please refrain from moving like that love." He groaned.

I gasped as realization dawns on me, "S-sorry...." I mumbled a light flush dusting my cheeks.

I bit my lip nervously, as Bennett's grey eyes bore into my green ones.

He reached up and brushed a strand of hair behind my ear, his fingers lingering on my cheek.

My breath hitched in my throat as I continued to blush even harder.

Moving slowly I got up, helping up Bennett up.

"Um come on your family must be looking for us." I stuttered.

We headed for the middle of the park looking around at all the beautiful hand made items at the stalls.

My phone buzzed my brother Kaiden was calling me.

I looked up at Bennett he nodded at me signaling me to take the call.

"Hey Kaid how's it going?"

"A boyfriend Laur!" My brother voice said from the other side of the line.

"Yes Kaiden." I gritted my teeth.

I sighed, my older brother never strives to overreact about things, especially boys.

I sighed, while getting into the car.

"Who is he?" He asked.

"His name is Bennett." I said.

When hearing his name he looked down at me.

"Brother..." I whispered

"Listen Kaid, I gotta go..."

"Sis, I called to see how your doing."

"I'm fine, had my cry for the day with dad."

"Are you sure?" He asked

"Kaid I'm sure ok." I said firmly

"Let me know ok?"

"Got it, listen I gotta go, I'll call you soon?"

"Bye sis."

I turned to Bennett, we had reached the house and he was waiting for me to get out of the car.

We headed up to our room before I turned to talk to him.

"Sorry, my brother is kinda overprotective and very nosy, he just wanted to make sure I was ok." I said

"Ok?" He asked confused

"Yea, it's nothing." I said quickly.

"You can tell me you know, I know we butt heads sometimes but I generally care about you." He said softly.
