Emira's pov
As Viney dragged Emira off to her super cool and super secret sunrise watching place, Emira couldn't help but think about how she had never seen the brunette around Hexside before.

I stay after school pretty often, she thought to herself, why haven't I seen her? As she was dragged through the town she couldn't help but get wrapped up in her thoughts, time passing quickly and unnoticed.

The two girls abruptly came to a halt, Emira tumbling over and almost face planting but catching herself. She took notice that they were standing in the back sides of the grudgby field.

"Uhm, Viney, why are we at the grudgby field?" Emira inquired. She would prefer to watch the sunrise somewhere more calm, considering that the grudgby field could eat them in a matter of seconds if they took one wrong step.

"Don't worry green girl, we're not staying here. Now follow me and don't make a sound." Viney shushed the other girl.

"Do you have anything I could use to write with?" Viney asked the girl in the purple t-shirt while walking over to the side of the grudgby bleachers, where there was basically a big wall.

"I don't think I have a pen, but I could make an illusion of one?" Emira said, it sounded more like a question than an answer.

"No, that won't work." Viney stopped and stood staring into the distance for a few seconds. "Aha!" She yelled, and then continued to pull a stick of chalk out of her bun.

Emira stared at the girl with a face of confusion, admiration and a slight hint of worry. She decided it would be better to not question it.

The brunette held the chalk in one hand and started to draw a square on to the wall of the bleachers. Emira watched, confused and intrigued. Viney somehow managed to make a perfect square.

She started to draw a shape resembling a keyhole in the middle of her perfectly drawn square, tapping the middle with the chalk when she was done.

And then the square just swung open? What?

Once again, Emira decided against questioning the strange griffin girl.

"Come with me." Viney commanded, holding out her hand for the other girl to take. "It's a shortcut." She added with a wink.

Damn that's kinda hot not gonna lie- Emira thought. No, no, no, not the time to be thinking those things Emira! Damn!

Emira took the girls hand and was dragged into a room of... doors? Emira peered around the strange room intently. Why was there a room full of doors- everywhere? Like, she was standing on a door right now. Why is there a door in the floor??

Viney dragged Emira up some stairs and then down some stairs, through a loop de loop and finally she stopped in front of a tall cyan door with the top rounded like a cool little fairy house door. Without the flesh-eating fairies, though.

"You ready to see something cool?" Viney asked the greenette, side-eyeing her with a mischievous yet enticing smirk.

"I'm always ready to see something stunning, not that anything can be more stunning than you." Green girl winked at the other girl, who was clearly unphased by her flirting with a deadpanned look on her face.

"Emmy, it's like, five in the morning, I'm not dealing with your shenanigans right now." Viney stated while opening the door.

Ooo Emmy? Cute. Emira thought, noting the fact that now she needs to create an even better, more cute nickname for the brunette in front of her.

Before she could get a good look out the door it was quickly slammed in her face.

"Wait. You promise you're not gonna tell anyone about this, right?" Viney questioned her, looking at their entwined hands nervously.

"My lips are sealed, V." She said with a wink. The greenette then pretended to zip her lips shut like some doofus.

"Alrighty Blighty, I'm trusting you with this. Also if you tell anyone or get me in trouble I'm sending puddles after you." Viney threatened. She knows Emira wouldn't say anything, but you can never be to careful with who you trust.

"Noted."

Viney opened the door for real this time, revealing a cool little sitting area. "Woah, Vines, this is-" she stopped talking when she noticed they were on the roof of the school, like, a hundred thousand million feet above ground.

"Woahhh, this is quite the view you got here V." Emira said in wonder. Damn, she could see all of Bonesburrow from here. "This really does seem like a great place for sunrise watching."

"I come here a lot on my own, without my other friends. I'm not sure if they even know about this place, actually." Viney told the taller girl. "So congratulations, you're probably the first person I've shown this place! Probably."

"Wow. What an honor. I feel so blessed." Emira laughed sarcastically.

The two girls sat down on two of the little floor pillows, right next to each other. It was at this point when Emira noticed their hands had become untwined, a little disappointed at the lack of warmth.

The two girls sat in a comfortable silence for a little while, one of them occasionally pointing out a weird bird-like creature flying by or a pixie with one leg and nine arms. So weird.

They watched the sun rise in awe. Wow, I should really watch the sun rises more often, Emira thought to herself. But then she realized she would have to start waking up really early for that, so she shook off that idea.

Viney turned to talk to Emira, "Do you know what day it is?"

"Uhhh the seventeenth, why."

"No, like the day. Not the number."

"Oh. Tuesday. Again, why?"

"Emira. We have school. Like, in two hours."

"Well. Oh shit. We should probably start heading back to our houses." Viney said reluctantly. Neither girl wanted to leave the other one.

"Yeah. I guess so. Do you think I could get your penstagram? I... really liked hanging out with you." Emira smiled, preparing for rejection. Why would Viney want to talk to boring old Emira Blight? Your classic, boring rich girl?

"Oh yeah, of course! Here, give me your scroll." Viney answered enthusiastically. Wow, I really thought she would say no. Curse you Emira and your self doubt!

Emira quickly summoned her scroll and handed it to Viney. The brunette typed in her penstagram and gave the scroll back to its rightful owner. Huh, griffingirl13? That's a cute username. Emira thought to herself, mentally facepalming at those last thoughts of hers.

Viney took Emira back through the weird door room and back to the grudgby field. "You know your way home from here, right?" Viney asked. She was already sure the greenette knew the way back to her house but she wouldn't mind getting to spend some extra time with her to walk her home.

"Yeah, I do. Well, I'll look for you during school! Cya 'round, cutie!" Emira winked to the beast keeping witch, turning on her heel and walking away.

And there the brunette stood for a solid five seconds with a blush covered face. She turned and walked home, thinking about how much fun she had with Emmy. And how tired she was. They didn't sleep so, yeah, both girls were pretty tired.
