"I flew here to come see you because your number wasn't going through. I thought coming down here would be better because I'm here to talk about something important. Do you have time now?" Hama Muhammad Shema asked the woman in front of her who looks about ready to leave the room and be anywhere else but there with her.

The woman, Nora Knight gave a curt nod though that's the last thing she wanted. She wants to be anywhere but that room with this woman, she doesn't want to talk about anything with her knowing where the entire conversation is going to lead to. How can she appear now after many decades? Why is all her past mistakes coming back to haunt her almost at the same time? She just finished with another one last week and now another fresh one brewing? This one way hotter than the one she's cooled?

Maybe someone is after her life with felony because this cannot just be a coincidence.

But then again, it might be that God wants her to repent so her children can stop their bad deeds and the other son that was murdered would Rest In Peace. Her children now keep jumping from one club to the next bar without a care in the world that they are ruining their lives with cheap cigarettes and unnecessary one night stands. She wanted a boy for that reason but she was blessed with girls and considered them nuisance until recently and it was too late. They were too deep into the wrongdoings.

Perhaps it is not her fault after all. She was forced to do this job by two men and all of them from different places. They don't even know one another which made her wonder what was so special about the girl that couldn't talk after her parents death. Why two men old and young were after her life to know what is going on with her and where she should go to after she's finished her time there with them. It made no sense and she couldn't connect the dots at all.

One of them claimed to be her father's colleague from Lebanon at first even leaving his number with them when she is done with her session there at the psychiatry while the other claimed to be her grandfather. She was so careless then because she was going through a lot of things and the psychiatry was not paying her well. Why were they jumping up and down about Elena Ahsan? She didn't pay much attention till much later when the threats started coming in one after the other.

She chose her family over a little girl and she'd do that over and over again. She doesn't know the girl neither was she related to her. She was only her patient who refused to talk to her for six months. What else was she supposed to do? Allow them to kill her family knowing she won't ever get justice or let them have the girl? She chose the latter, wasn't much bothered then thinking the girl would be off their backs.

Now with Hama Muhammad Shema in front of her looking all the more extremely powerful than the young lady that left Alberta after graduating law school with first class degree. This woman is ready to do anything and everything in her power to make sure she pays for her sins but why does it matter? She was not her daughter or anything.

But she's told you not to hand the girl over to anyone but her Aunt the thought made her jump. That was true. She even went as far to give her the picture of the so called Aunty so they won't complicate things. She didn't do that, she chose her greed for wealth over her patient's welfare which means she can get arrested for this. And her license could be seized.

This woman in front of her can make sure it's done too, she is stinky rich after all. She's seen it before she left when she gave her hefty amount of money to take care of Elena Ahsan and even continue to send some more monthly. She never stopped till after two years when Nora was forced to cut off contact with her. She wouldn't have stopped accepting the money, she is not crazy to not take it. But Elena was taken from her by one of those men.
