It's been 1 week, one week since the accident.

Colin was driving home after a long day at work when he got into an accident. He luckily didn't get hurt. But that accident ended your parents life.

Colin and Scarlett where sitting down next to their lawyer.

"Well, im sorry but there isn't much I can do for you, Colin did ride trough the red light"
"So what's going to happen?" Scarlett asks worried about her husband
"Well, if the family sues Colin, he will be put into jail"

"B-But we can but him out? Right?!"
"Unfortunately he will-"
"For how long?" Colin asks
"5 year"

Scarlett breaks down, coming trying to comfort her

2 weeks later they get into the courtroom.
They wait until you come in when the judge starts talking

"Y/n y/l/n, you can start free talking now"
You are standing in front of collin with Scarlett in tears behind him

You lock eyes with Scarlett while a tear rolls over your face

"I-uh-"
Your lawyer interrupts you
"Y/n would sue the family for killing her parents" he says
"We need y/n's consent on that, I need you to accept"

"I-uh I don't- I don't-" your hands are shaking, feeling tears streaming down your face

"I don't want to sue them"
"Y/n we talked about this" you lawyer tells you clearly enough for everyone to hear

"No! Look at them! They are young, they probably have a family. I can't do that"

you cry

"Y/n y/l/n we need a logical argument for your opinion otherwise they will be sued" the judge tells

"M-my parents.. they where no good people. I- m-my my dad, he is an alcoholic. He abused me for years.. m-my mom two." You say crying

"Do we have proof for that?"

"I have a video on my phone, d-does that count?"
"Il need to see that" the judge says

He watched the video.
"We will talk about this for 2 hours, you will then get back into the court room, for now you can go wait in the waiting room"

You get into the waiting room and sit alone at a little bench.

You see Scarlett and Colin get in two. They hug eachother both in tears.

You have been sitting on a bench sobbing for half an hour when suddenly you see someone crouch down infront of you. You look up and see Scarlett.

"It's y/n right?" She asks you softly
You nod
"Honey, how old are you?"
"13" you say
"Honey why don't you-"
"I'm sorry" you say starting to cry again
"I am so so sorry, I didn't mean to. I didn't want this. I swear I'm sorry. I'm sorry" you cry

"Hey no shhh don't worry okay? Shhhh"
You don't calm down
"C-can I hug you?" Scarlett asks you and you nod she grabs you hugging you and you hug her back

"Shhhh y/n breathe, y/n? Look at me" you look at her
"It's okay, just breathe"

You calm down a little. When a man walks into the room

"The decision has been cut of short, you will all be able to come back again"

You get back into the room and all sit down again.

"After evidence of abuse and refusing of the sue from y/n y/l/n Colin Jost will Not get to jail or have any punishment for his actions"
You can see Scarlett smile of happiness and so is Colin. But as happy you are for them, you know that this will be the end of being taken car of. You will likely rot in a orphanage.

You walk outside crying,

"Y/n! Y/n wait!" You turn around and see Colin and Scarlett

"Where are you going honey?" Scarlett asks you
You shrug
"Do you have a place to go?" Colin asks you
You shake you head
"Why don't you come home with us?"
"I-"
"You would do us a favor"
You shrug.
"Are you okay? You look a bit pale"
"I-I- I'm a bit dizzy" you say
"When was the last time you ate honey?"
"I- d-don't k-now" you stutter feeling faint.
"Let's get you some food" Scarlett says and they start walking
"You coming?" Colin asks
"I don't want to pass out" you whisper
"Can I carry you?" Colin asks
You nod.
He picks you up and get into the car.

Colin starts the car
"Scar? Arnt you sitting infront"
"No, I want to take a look at her, she doesn't look good" she says

Colin starts driving
"Y/n?"
"Y/n look at me okay"
You don't respond
"Colin you need to get to the closest place okay?" She tells him
"Y/n keep your eyes open for me okay?"

After 5 minutes of driving and getting No respond from you they finally arrive at some fast food drive trough. They get you some food.

"Can you eat this for me?" Scarlett say putting a hamburger in your hand and you slowly take small bites.

You finish your meal

"Feeling better"
"Yeah" you whisper
"C-can I sleep?" You ask
"Ofcourse honey" and you let yourself fall on to Scarlett's lap falling asleep.

Shocker, you end up living with them. I don't know how to end a story different then you ending up living with them.. :)
