The sun had its crimson rays spread all over the sky as again a new day was ending,it had been 3 days,she had not seen or met him
The agony deep inside her,teared her up to the core
It hurted,as she accepted that they were not meant to be
That night her mind didn't stopped racing even more a mini second,it had its ways of keeping her up all night
Yet again,life had to move on,as a new day arised
Kochi jumped onto her chest as soon as the clock hit 6 in the morning
Waking her up to the heavy pounding of her cat,she petted her before leaving for bath
Hastily she wrapped up her daily chores
Taking kochi for a walk,she finally took a deep breath in

"Chae!" Sana called over,standing in a corner of their favorite Cafe
She didn't reply anything,all she could express was a tiny smile
Sana excitedly hugged her,whereas she had no enthusiasm
"Aw kochi? You don't miss me anymore!" Sana exclaimed while squishing kochi between her gracile hands

"What are you ordering?" 
"I'm in the mood for caramel macchiato" Sana replied
As they grabbed their coffees,chaeyoung told her everything that she felt,sana was the only person she shared everything with

The sky,had heavy yet light clouds,the golden sun shone through the silver lined clouds,at the end of the day,life is just the another name for sufferings
You get attached,they leave, it's just the way life works

Sana and Chaeyoung had a long trip down the memory lane,as if it was a new world,yet the same old day
The stars started to gleam,looking up on the sky,she had lost all the hope,the chilly air hit her
As sana left,she plugged in her earbuds,every song thrilled her heart strings,as if they were about to burst
The night couldn't get any longer

She walked,and walked the never ending road in her mind,not knowing where she was going
One more night she doubted herself,it all leaded back to him
"Maybe If I could" She started humming the song,"stay by your side a little longer"

She gasped as kochi started running,unusual breaths entered her,the trees,swamps all had an eerie feeling
"Where are you running kochi??" She asked,knowing she would not understand a thing

She only went far,far from her,nearer to the horizon
Chaeyoung held a long breath in as she finally stopped,near that one feeling
Where she took the long way around,burned to death
The fresh new atmosphere held her close,her body felt light,the darkness caught up her eyes,she couldn't see anything

It got colder,yet warmer near that park
"Maybe if I could,stay by your side a little longer"
The voice was familiar
A sudden terrified feeling struck her heart
"K-kochi let's leave" She hesitated
Trying to pick her up,her attempts were in vain
Kochi did nothing but enter into the darkness,to the point she was disappearing
She got frustrated,she could do nothing else but follow her into the forever darkness
"I got me someone else instead" the voice continued
"Hard to believe em,just as you left,everyone asked"
"She's taking your side of the bed"
"Yeah I can't sleep"

She realized,it wasn't necessarily him,she thought yet the feelings were same
It actually had it,the silence almost so deep,they could hear each other's breaths
Facing his back,she could recognize,it was him indeed
"Since you left,it's one two three"
"I got me someone else instead"
"He's taking your side of the bed"
"Yeah I can't sleep"

She continued with him,as he realized too,smiling ear to ear,not wanting to face her
"I got me someone else instead" they sang as it wasn't enough,the words weren't enough to ever meet
They could not let them out
She built up the courage,taking a deep breath in
Facing him,
"I'm sorry"was all that he could utter,so did she
"I wish you the best" he exclaimed with a smile,so bright to be visible
"I will miss you" She replied holding onto his ice cold hands
"We will surely meet again"
"I love you"

That's how that long night finally ended,it was a long ride yet it can't be held,it has to move on,that's how that summer ended,it was a new yet old,weary yet a new ending

"Thank you so much" She replied to someone on her call running towards her jet black car,she was more than busy now
Happy 23rd birthday chaeyoung!!" Her mom screamed loud enough on the call
"Mom,please stop this" She laughed awkwardly
A loud hearty talk with her mom,was the best feeling for her
"It's finally summer,are you visiting here again?" Her mom inquired
"No mom I'm very busy nowadays,and I have atleast a thousand meetings this month" She exclaimed in a tired manner

"How are kochi and tsuki?" She asked with a pleasant manner
"Both are fine,all they still do is eat and sleep" her mom laughed
She smiled ear to ear

"Psst chae"
"Wait a bit" She exclaimed

"Mom,I miss you and dad so much" She replied getting teary eyed
"Can't you just stop your work and studies even on your birthday?" Her mom whined

"Chae"
"What?"

"Anyways,I hope someday or later you both will visit us have fun!" Her mom replied before hanging up the call

"Why do you have to disturb me so much?" She whined
"Sorry haha"

"I will always remember the day you kissed my lips,light as a feather
And it went just like this,no its never been better
Than the summer of 2002" her earbuds buzzed with these lyrics

The summer of 2002,I'm taken aback it was an old childhood memory but it had no limits,it had its effects still today
She hummed along,looking out of her window looking at all those tall buildings with fancy boutique shops

"Are you gonna listen to me??" He exclaimed exaggerating all his efforts
To remove her earbuds

"Jimin would you please stop annoying me?"
"What do you wanna say?" She finally asked him

"Uhh so I have been thinking of making a cake for you,and would you like a cake with kochi and me on it?"

She could not help but look at him with astonishment in her eyes,who had she even fallen in love with?

"What?"
All she could do is face palm before he could even reply
