Romina her sister and her mom moved to East Highland from Miami, FL. Romina had anger issues and got into trouble at her old school so her mom decided to move them to give her a new start in a place that was still partially familiar to the younger girls
"Paulina, levántate" her mother calls her by her middle name to get off the plane, grabbing their carry-ons and waiting in line
"¿Podemos comer algo?" she asked her mother onve they'd collected all their bags from baggage claim "De camino a casa" her mom responded. previously her mom briefly came to look at houses so they would be set when they got here and she also enrolled her daughter in school. she was a very put together and prepared person

"Hola, mi dulce sobrina. Te he echado de menos" Romina's mom said from behind the pair "Hola, tía, yo también te he echado de menos. ¿Qué tal tu vuelo?" she responds smiling
"whos in the car" Mina said pointing and squinting her eyes trying to look into the tinted windows "come on" she led her cousin to the vehicle
"yall this is my friend, Camille. Mil these are my cousins Ramona, and ofcourse Romina and my aunt Natalia" Maddy introduces them "Hii" Romina says smiling "Wassup Mil" Ramona said as her mom waves "yall need help with your bags" Mil said trying to be helpful
"Dile que quieres hacer una parada" Natalia said to her daughter "yo can we stop somewhere to eat" Romina says aloud "um yea whatchu like to eat" Mil says looking ahead at the road "umm whats on the way" she asks
"THIS IS NOIICEEE!!! aint no roaches or nun" Ramona said trying to quote the tiktok sound "girl shut the hell up" Romina said as everybody helped carry luggage into the lightly furnished house "Esta es una buena mamí" Romina said looking around "Vale, la tía iba a irse, llámame si necesitas algo, te quiero" maddy said
"Si necesitáis un mensaje de texto de viaje, Maddy. Estoy feliz de ayudar, espero que os guste California" Mil said smiling but standing a bit awkward

Mina said "Sí, mi madre es puertorriqueña y mi padre es dominicano y negro" mil chuckled "Ohh, eso es genial, nuestro padre es dominicano" Ramona said "look at us we twinnem" mil said laughing "De todos modos, gracias por el viaje y ofrece adiós, chicos, te quiero, Maddy" Natalia said
"bye maddog" Romina said hugging her cousin "bye SuperNova" maddie said before hugging the older cousin "Bye Mona" maddie said "bye mads" she responded "bye twin" Mina said to Mil
"Bye kid" she said patting her head "bye Ramona" she dragged "bye Mil" she said as they hug
"Chicas, id a recoger vuestras habitaciones" Their mom said as the door closed making her way to the master bedroom
"this one is mine" Romina said running to the steps infront of a decently sized room "this is cuteeee"
"wasnt eva that serious" her older sister rolled her eyes
"soo things are going good between you and Camille" Ramona said smirking at Maddy through the phone
"i think so" she replied shyly while laughing
Maddie and Ramona had a very tight bond they talked all the time shared almost everything with each other so she met Mil a couple times over the phone ofcourse and they have had many conversations regarding her
"so you ready for school tmrw" Maddy changes the subject "yeah ofc, i was thinking maybe after school we could decorate my room" she suggested optimistically
