Prologue

Anna's breathing became rapid, beads of sweat left her forehead, she moved fast around the corridors and stopped in front of the kitchen, gulping a lump in her throat

"What did you?" The old man spoke "Devin, What did you do!" he screamed pulling out the the knife in his torso

Devin looked up from the knife, which was in his hands previously, he stumbled backwards when he saw Anna

"Anna?" Devin's voice echoed "Anna" it became distorted

Anna couldn't move, it was like she froze on her spot, she looked into Devin's ocean blue eyes

"Anna!" she opened her eyes as her breathing didn't calm down, she looked around only to find her in her own house with Argyle sitting next to her "Are you okay dude? You were full on having a seizure back there"

"Yeah, yeah I am okay" she worded out in between her rapid breaths "Just a nightmare" she said

Argyle stood up as her eyes went behind the place, Argyle was sitting, she saw a couple of yellow boxes, opened on the table, and white pills which probably fell out of them

She ran a frustrated hand through her hair before standing up and joining the guy, before taking the pills and putting them back in the box, putting the box in her pocket, Argyle was by now outside in his van,  she took her place beside him

"You shouldn't really be taking those pills you know dude" Argyle spoke while his eyes were on the road

"They're prescribed medications bro" she spoke leaning into her seat

She let out a heavy sigh, beginning to think about Hawkins, she was flying back from California today, more like her company forced her to go back, to handle their branches back in Indiana

Even though it was her company that was forcing her, she didn't really complain, a part of her wanted to go back, to go and see everyone, her friends, bestfriends, specifically, Robin

They'd broken up for a while now, but not because any of them stopped loving the other, they're both grown ups, long distance was becoming harder for them by the day, Anna was the alone decider in this conclusion

"Alright, here you go my brochaho" Argyle sais as the van came to a stop, Anna extended her hand and they did their handshake

"Alright, later my guy" she said getting out of the van and inside the busy airport

She did all the necessary procedure, like going through security check, checking in her baggage, then checking in her ticket and getting into the flight

It was a long flight till she reached Hawkins, Indiana she waited for her luggage, and when it arrived she made her way outside, and called in a taxi, she told him the address of the house she used to live in and he drove her there

Entering the place, she wasn't exactly disappointed with how Robin had left it, whenever she did

She walked to her closet and took out her clothes, as she walked towards the bathroom, she noticed her guitar on the wall, it put a smile on her face, she got into the shower, not before ordering a pizza

As she came out, the delivery guy was already here, she ate her food and then went over to the kitchen, she saw some post-it notes on the fridge, she peeled them off and read

'I love when you just look at me and smile'

'I love the way I feel around you'

'I love your eyes'

'I love the way you play my favourite songs on your guitar to make me smile'

'I love how you teach me guitar whenever I ask you to'

'I love you'

Anna put the notes on the table, all she thought was how, Robin wrote these notes for whenever she came back and Robin wasn't home, she brushed away her thoughts as she got ready to visit the basketball game

She got into her black Camaro and drove to Hawkins high, it was surprising how the car worked just fine after all this time, she stopped the car in front of building as she stared at it for a moment, all her memories from high school hitting her like a nostalgia

She walked in and saw Nancy with a skinny guy, with glasses and a scar on his face, both with a notepad, she approached the girl

"Hey, how are you?" she asked making the girl gasp

"Anna? When did you get back?" she hugged the girl

"A few hours ago" she pulled away "Hey chance you'd seen Robin or Steve?"

"Yeah, they're right over there" she pointed her finger "Robin's with the band"

"Alright thanks" Anna said walking away, she stared at Robin, who looked back, Anna looked away instantly as she walked outside the gym

She entered her car, as she hit the steering wheel a couple of times, sighing

"Why did you look away, fuck" she cursed herself before starting her car and driving over to her company's new store

She opened the door with the keys she'd gotten from her senior, walking in she turned the lights on and looked around to see everything, messy, she rolled her sleeves up

"This is gonna be a long night" she muttered before getting to work
