9. Paralyzed

Trilla and Cal went through the facility, the former showing him around. This was going to be his new home after all, it's best to show him around now rather than later. She would show him a room, he would check it out then they would continue to the next. He didn't have much questions for her. In fact he hadn't said a word today. He was still mad at her antics yesterday, bitter even. He had a look of annoyance and anger on his face when she talked. Trilla noticed this, becoming slightly annoyed with the stubborn boy herself.

They continued with the awkward tour around the facility, before ending up at the Mess Hall. The two were walking around for a couple of hours and didn't feel like going back to Trilla's quarters for a meal. The two of them stood in line behind some Storm Troopers. The Troopers were discussing about there lives, seemingly hating what they were going through. Cal understood their pain, he must had killed hundreds of them on his quest. Deep down inside, they were still people, with real feeling and emotions. Even though he wanted to learn the ways of the dark side, he wasn't a heartless monster like Trilla....not yet at least.

The two received their meal, walking over to and empty table towards the back. Cal sat down across from Trilla, avoiding eye contact with the woman. 'How childish' she thought to herself. In her eyes, Cal was acting like a little kid, holding a grudge on something that didnt matter in her eyes.

They both are their meals in silence, earning looks from other Troopers alike.

"Leave." Trilla says, staring directly at Cal.

"Leave? I havent finished my-." He choked

She was choking him again, his anger and animosity towards her angered her greatly. He shook his head, as she let him go. He gave her a dirty look, before leaving the mess hall entirely. Whats her problem Cal thought to himself.

A couple Hours pass as Trilla lays alone in her room. She hadn't seen Cal since their mini fight in the Mess Hall. Quite frankly, she didn't want to see him at all. His childish antics angered her, why should she have to put up with it?

A slight knock came from her door, alerting the Inquisitor. She rose from her bed, closing in on the door. Trilla opened the door, revealing Cal, leaning on the wall. Imminently her blood pressure arose as the person she didnt want to see was now right in front of her.

"What do you want Cal?" She says rudely

"I came to apologize for my behavior earlier. Can I come in?" He asks

Reluctantly, she moved aside, allowing him to enter her darkened quarters. She shut the door behind her, leaning against it. Cal sat on her bed, crossing his leg over the other, looking at Trilla. She rolled her eyes, crossing her arms.

"Before you start Cal I believe I'm the one who owes you an apology." She says, rubbing her eyes.

"Uh it's not a problem Trilla. I overreacted as well. If I'm to learn the ways of the Sith, I should expect something like that to happen."

"I guess you are right but I shouldn't have done that either way."

He nodded his head, standing up approaching Trilla slowly. Her heart rate began to increase as the boy approached her. He stopped in front of her, looking at the nervous Inquisitor. Was she nervous, what was this feeling in her chest and why were her cheeks burning. She looked up to see Cal's cheeks were slightly red, just like hers. What was happening to them both. All he did was walk up to her and they both were feeling heated. Being an Inquisitor taught Trilla many things, one of those being that feelings dont matter. You aren't supposed to feel anything, feelings lead to weakness and loss of control..

Cal did the unthinkable, wrapping his arms around Trilla's stomach, pulling her in for a hug. His head rested on top of her's, as she stood there, paralyzed. She didn't know what to do. This action he was doing, it scared her. She hadn't been hugged by anyone in years, let alone a former enemy no less.
