Chapter 32 : To the Domains (NSFW)

I sigh looking up at the dark blue sky. The sky in the Domains is so different from the one outside. I regret not spending enough time here all the years I've been in Teyvat. I would just enter, beat up enemies, collect artifacts and get out. But now I've discovered an entire new place full of different creatures and plants here. It's refreshing to find something I had no idea about after spending more than a decade knowing everything that's going to happen.

I came here leaving everything behind in the world outside. I didn't tell anyone. What would I even say? Would it actually matter? My existence in this universe is pointless. In the end, Aether will win anyways. I'm not needed here. I am, however, needed back in Choxarynn. I asked for the book about my original world from Miko while I was stuck in Watatsumi Island. She refused so I had Sayu steal it from me. After reading it I understood why she didn't want me to have it.

My whole family falls apart after I left. My parents get divorced, Gavin stops keeping in touch and Addison grows up to be a junkie like me. I refuse to let that happen. I didn't even know I had such a huge impact on their lives. I know there is a way back home as that's the very first thing Z said to me when I woke up that day in Sumeru. I don't know to find or contact them. But I do know where the person who started this transmigration crap could be. I'm not 100% sure if I'll find her but I have to at least try. Rhinedottir must be somewhere in the Abyss. I need to find her no matter what.

However, I ended up digressing. Finding a whole new location I haven't even seen in the game made my adventurer's instinct scream. I just had to explore and find out as much as I could about this place. It's been years since I came here. I'm sure I haven't even discovered 10% of this place. Although it's been just a few months in the outside world. I won't lie, I do miss Aether and my other friends from Teyvat. A lot. But I've made my choice. They're better off without me.

I feel another presence behind me while collecting herbs. I turn around to see a tall blonde man with blue eyes. I did know that I was bound to bump into him one day here.

"You're....."

"Hello, Dainsleif. It's about time we met. Well, officially met."

"So you know about my research. Shouldn't you be with the Traveler? What are you even doing here? It's not safe for people here. Although you're not a normal person anymore. You're just like them.", he glares.

I sigh, "Sheesh. Calm down. I have no connection with the Celestia if that's what you're hostile about. I'm just looking for a way to go back home."

"....I see."

"You don't trust me, do you?"

"No."

"Understandable. Have a good day.", I say returning back to picking up the herbs.

It's best if I let him be. I can't get emotionally attached to anyone now since I'm hellbent on finding the Overseer. I thought he would leave but.....he's just following me everywhere. I go fishing at the river after I'm done with the herbs. He's just standing at a distance observing me. This isn't awkward at all. I can't say if he's suspicious or genuinely curious about me.

"Hey!", I call out to him.

He's startled but he walks to me cautiously. I hand him a bunch of twigs.

"If you're gonna follow me around might as well make yourself useful. Make a fire while I marinate the fish."

He looks at me confused and says, "As far as I know, you have the ability to control all the elements. Why not use Pyro to light one up?"

"Just do as I say. I'll explain everything while we eat."
