Boson Explanation

Boson-Energy, pronounced (Bo-Sawn), is the Magic System of Factory Reset. Basically, it's a type of energy found in the universe of Factory Reset. It's a type of energy commonly found in particles, burning a certain color. These particles break reality, being able to naturally move faster than light despite not being photons, and not having an opposite besides the opposite color. There is no anti-blue Boson.

When written, Boson is always spelled B-o-s-o-n and is spelt with an uppercase B. When referencing the particles or the energy, the P or the E is also capitalized. There is a hyphen between Boson and Energy, so remember that.

Of course, this is only for serious books. In comments and etcetera, please do not refer to these rules. That would be too much and it's just silly to say you have to make sure you spell it right in comments or questions.

Boson-Energy is only known and utilized by protogen, it is a guarded secret as to what it is. A few select non-protogens are given Boson-Energy.

Also, protogen are able to control Boson-Energy only because they are made to. Most creatures are unable to control it. Marissa, Axel, Mason, as well as Hannah, were born able to control Boson-Energy due to B-64's crash-landing splashing Boson-Energy all around. People can be given a mutation to be able to control Boson-Energy, such as Ja'Kle

Now... the reason as to why the protogen is not allowed complete access to Bosonic Abilities, although they are now officially called Boson Flows, or just Flows, is because of Boson Poisoning. When a creature or an object is allowed unfettered access to the complete power of Boson-Energy of any-type, it will start to slowly, then quickly, degrade and decay. If untreated, it will very quickly shorten their lifespan.

You can sort of see this in Marissa, although she is being treated. For now, Boson Poisoning can be healed, but after many years it'll eventually overtake even the strongest healing force. That is why Protogen are given restricted Boson-Energy. This is made through their generators, which, using the reality bending abilities of Boson-Energy, and some ingenious work by Ion and his creation, make the Boson unable to poison due to how depowered it is.

In any case, heh! There's many different types based on the colors.

Blue Boson-Energy: the energy of the elements. This Boson-Energy is the Boson-Energy of the elements. It controls the air,the dirt and ground, water, materials, and such. So, protogen such as Bathysphere are powered by restricted Blue Boson-Energy.

Next is Red Boson-Energy: The energy of biology. This Boson-Energy controls biology, most normally mutations and such. When someone is born able to control Boson-Energy or mutates to be able to, it's due to this Energy. This Boson-Energy can be seen in Viscera, as they can control their blood. As well as at the ending, with Mason.

Up next is White Boson-Energy. This is the energy of physics. You can see this in Rip-Cord, Rallycry, Marissa, and many more. Basically, it allows control of light, momentum, ect. An interesting note about the White version is that it is also the Boson-Energy of the Soul as well. All natural-born people have White-Boson Energy naturally in them. Unfortunately, it's too small to use consciously. This energy also allows them to also enter an afterlife.

After that, and the last original Boson-Energy, is Black Boson-Energy. This is the Boson-Energy of reality, and is what man-made Gods are made out of. This is an unnatural Boson-Energy, created from fusing the other three. It is the most powerful of all of them, and can do anything. However, it cannot continuously self-replicate like the others, and there must be a large amount of it to alter reality, unlike a single particle being able to change reality with the other energies.

Then, there are the esoteric Boson Energies, really Boson Energies that are not explained, and most likely cannot be controlled.

Green Boson-Energy is the Boson-Energy of time, for some reason it takes the form of lightning, and when it strikes it de-ages or ages whatever it strikes. It is unknown if it can be harnessed. Scion assumes that it takes the appearing visage of lightning to simulate the branching timelines possible, but that is only a theory.

Orange Boson-Energy is the Boson-Energy of space. Effectively, this Boson-Energy is not understood at all, it appears to stretch space. As an example, if someone were to control and effect a box with Orange Boson-Energy, the space within the box would be far larger than the walls of the box should allow. It is not known if this can be achieved beyond random chance.

That is all of the Boson-Energies that are known currently, though there are potentially hundreds of different colors of Boson-Energies. However, the power and control of the energies appears to decrease the more unnaturally generated they are. As shown by the random nature of Green and Orange.
