Chapter 16 # Believe

Angela was walking with a bag of meals that noon when Emily stopped her and drives her to the meeting room.
Inside,all the team leaders had gathered.
And they quickly crowded her just after she arrived.
"How is it..?",asked one of them.
"What..?",Angela asked back.
"The favor that Emily had asked you yesterday..",he replied.
"Have you succeeded..?"
"I don't know..",Angela replied calmly.
"I never asked him.."
Emily takes her aside and told the others to move away.
"C'mon you guys,she just a child..!"
"Gives her a room,don't pushed her like this..!"
Emily knees down and hold the little girl shoulders.
"I'm so sorry Angela..",said Emily gently.
"But we facing a very harsh situation this time.."
"I know that..",Angela replied.
"Then why..?",asked Emily.
"You might the only person who has the chance to persuade him.."
"I don't need to asked him..",Angela replied.
"Because he is my friend,and I always believe him.."
"You trust him that much,don't you..?",asked Emily with smile.
Angela smiles and nodded.
"Well,if you said so..",said Emily.
"I will believe it too.."
Both of them smiling.
"Oh,please Emily..",said Billy.
"How come you easily believed whatever she said.."
"She just a child.."
Emily turned her face to him.
"She did a child..!",said she.
"But she and John are so thight.."
"That's why I'm quite sure that everything she said was true.."
"Billy was right Emily..",said the other one.
"We can't believe in childish opinions just like that.."
"Emily please..",said Clara.
"If she is our only hope,she must asked him harder.."
Emily wanna argued,but Angela hold her.
She walks few steps and stopped before them.
"Listen up you humans..!!",shouts she with so loud voice which makes all of them were shocked.
"I know that all of you had faced a lot of tragedy so far..!"
"And it makes you had lost all of your faith,even for God's plans..!"
"But let me sure you,that my friend-John-will fulfill his duty and fights for you all..!"
"If you all still hard to accepted it,then wait it till tommorow,and all of you will see which side he'll choose..!"
She smiles at Emily,who stared at her with eyes and mouth openly wide.
"Let's go Emily..",said she.
"There's something I wanna talk to you.."
Emily could only nodded and walks behind her,leaving those in the room which still stunned and could only watch them walk away.
"What just happened earlier..?",Emily stared at Angela who walks besides her.
"You look so different,I almost can't recognize you.."
Angela only smiling.
"It's just my emotional expressions..",said she.
"I just upset with them,because they always doubt him.."
"Well,you can't blamed them either..",Emily replied.
"In this kind of situation,fear will defeated faith.."
Angela only smiling.
"By the way,thank's for believing me Emily.."
"Yeah,no big deal..",Emily replied.
"It isn't fair also,if we burdened you with our problem.."
"By the way,what is he doing now..?",asked Emily.
"Meditating,I guess..",Angela replied.
"I intended to bringing him this food,and having lunch together..",she shows the bag in her hand.
"And you slept with him last night..?",asked Emily again.
"Ahem..",Angela nodded.
"You like him,don't you..?",asked Angela.
Emily looks a bit shocked,her face suddenly turned red.
"No way..",said she.
"He definetly not my type.."
Angela only laughing,seeing Emily looks so awkward.
"I knew it,you love him..",said she.
"You better admitted it to him quickly.."
"Don't wait until it all too late,and leave you in deep regret.."
"But I..",Emily couldn't finish her words.
"Both of you were fit..",said Angela again when they had arrived at the wood ladder.
"And meant to be a great lovers.."
She climbs up,and leaving Emily alone.
Emily could only watch her up.
And when she had vanished from her sight,she walks back,thinking about what the little girl's had said earlier.
"Hai John,sorry being late..",said Angela to John who still sitting in the hut.
"Here,I have bringing us lunch..",she opened the bag and take out the meals.
"If you're done,let's eat it.."
John opened his eyes,and looks at the food.
"What is it..?",ask he.
"Few slice of bread,and bean soup..",she replied.
"Sound nice..",said John,then joy the meals.

John and Angela were sitting before the hut-enjoy the setting sun.
"So beautiful isn't it John..?",asked she.
"Yeah,but not as beauty as you..",John replied.
Angela laughing.
"It won't work on me,because I still haven't accepted you as my lover,remember that..!",said she.
"Damn..I failed again..",retorts John,and both of them laughing out loud.
"You know..",said she again.
"If I die later,I want to be buried here.."
"So my body could see this view everyday.."
John looks at her and smiling.
"Aren't you too young to speak about death..?"
"You will have a long time to live your life,getting marry,and have a lot of childrens.."
"Yeah,perhaps..",said she.
"Not perhaps..",John wipes her hair gently.
"But you will.."
Angela smiling,but then suddenly stands up.
"Looks John..!",said she.
"There's a beautiful flower there.."
She runs to a tiny plant which grows in the gap of a rock at the edge of the canyon.
"Angela be careful..!",John shouted.
But she wasn't listening,and in few seconds she had returned with two white flower.
"John looks..!",she shows it.
"Beautiful isn't it..?",she gave one of it to John.
"Yes it is..",John admitted.
"But what the name of it..?"
"I don't know either..",she watches it carefully.
"Earth was amazing..",said she.
"Cause even she had trough so much pain after the humans destroyed her,she still tried to gives a life to the next generations.."
"I will keep one of this..",she put it in her pocket.
"You can keep the other.."
"I'm going in John,without a bonfire,it feels so cold outside.."
She walks in to the hut,while John only watches the white flower in his palms.
The night has fallen,and the stars clearly seen in the sky.
John looks at the hut,wondering if Angela already sleeps or not.
The hut itself heading west and had no doors.
It fully opened in one side,and only covered by a sheet of thick black rags.
No bed inside,they slept on a wooden couch which covered by a worn carpet.
But John so hard to sleep that night.
He kept thinking about what Angela had said earlier.
Is he should like the earth?.
Saving the next generations,although he must face all the risks and suffered alone.
He looks at Angela-who deeply sleeps besides him-and wondering about what will happened to her-if Mamnon win.
Angela suddenly hugs his waist thightly,wakes his deep thought.
"She must be feels cold.."
John smiling,then rises the blanket to covered her body.
