if you thought that i survived somehow then you are quite right, but the how and why are yet be answered as i woke up in a hospital bed, i could see my chest's cut where my heart would be, but i also couldn't miss the blonde girl that was resting her head on my lap, which i extended my hand to pet her.
"this is called cheating Shuichi, and i didn't know that you were into older women!!" my hand was instantly retracted in embarrassment.
"I didn't know that you were the one doing that and isn't that the same case for you Sola!!!" I screamed.
"eh, it's no biggie for me since I'm single again," she said teasingly.
I admit that Sola and Kaede looked alike but no, I am not into older women, sure Sola is pretty and all but no, I'm not interested in the least even if she is in her late 30s, just no.
"But hey, I'm glad you're awake Shuichi, I was getting worried that it didn't work," Sola sighed in relief.
"What do you mean by that? What did you do to me?'' I asked in confusion.
Just as I asked, Hajime entered.
"Ah Shuichi, good to see that it worked, I was afraid that I messed up somewhere," he said smiling.
"Can you guys please tell me what you are talking about?" I was starting to get frustrated with the secrecy.
"Well, Darling, you see, we did the operation just like you asked, all but one thing." Sola explained.
"and what might that be?" I asked.
"remember the Artificial Heart i was working on? Sola came to me and gave me a great deal of data on Sarkis's research, some of the data was about creating almost a perfect replica of any organ, the only downside is that the maintenance must occur every 3 months and to do that, it required surgery, but this is where my expertise in Nanotechnology came in, and with that the heart inside you now is as if you have never lost your heart!!!" Hajime explained excitedly.
"And here I thought that you gave me all the data," I remarked at the chaotic mother.
"it's not wise to give up everything, even to those closest to you, every piece of information you give is an arrow after all" she has a solid argument here not going to lie.
"Why did you save me?" I was curious as to what made her do all of this.
"Shuichi, you gave my daughter hope, a reason to want to cling to life, you are her hope you know, i wasn't about to let you walk away from this life just like this, besides you two didn't get married yet and i want to see my grandchildren dammit" geez woman, you sounded cool until you ruined it at the end.
"yeah......right, so, where is Kaede and how is she?" I asked.
"She was released 2 months ago, she was devastated when she woke up and saw you like this, she blames herself everyday for not preventing you from going with that plan." Hajime answered.
"For now, just rest, a couple more days and you will be released and then you can settle things with her" Sola Advised.
After that, I remained like this for 2 more weeks, so much for a "couple of days" I guess.
Friday - Morning
Hajime announced the news of my release.
Mikan, Chiaki,Kyoko, Makoto came in and so did The headmaster and Miss Yukizome. It was great to see them again after such a long time.
"SHUICHI, I'M SO GLAD THAT YOU ARE ALIVE" Mikan came in and was hugging me a bit too tightly.
"so, does that mean you want to be Shuichi's Girlfriend?" Chiaki said teasingly.
