"Paco u don't even meet the height limit to be on the basketball team" Paula says
"Yea he is" i mutter
"how?" she asked
"cuz that forehead giving him 3 feet" i bust out laughing
"Coraline shut yo midget ass up" he smacks the back of my head and Val just laugh
"and what's your short ass laughing at too" paco said
"i'm not short, im average sized" Val smacked her lips
"average size in what way" Paco asked
"cuz i bet you aren't allowed to ride any roller coasters" he finished
"Val" someone yells out
"and coraline" ham says in confusion as he approached us
"the air is clear" i say
i see the rest of the sandlot boys behind them.
"so we might as well all hangout then" ham says smiling
"yea that's fine i guess" i smile
"sandlot boys this is Paco and Paula, Paco and Paula this is Scotty, Ham, Bertram, Benny, Yea Yea, timmy, tommy, denunez, and squints" i introduce them
"imma go get us more coins real quick" i tell all of them
i walk to the other side of the arcade and watch them from a distance. i notice paco and paula socialising with everyone which made me glad they got along with them. that was until i felt a presence next to me.
"what are u looking at rodriguez?" i asked
"you changed core" he says
"it's called puberty dummy" i chuckle
"shit i'm not complaining tho" he says looking back and i just glare at him
"what do u want" i groan
"i still know how to make you annoyed" he smirks
"look Rodriguez, we were friends and i'm not mad at you or anything, but you don't get to just show up and hit on me" i sigh
"look core, can we just start over?" benny sighs
"yeah that sounds nice" i smile
"here's your bucket of coins" the worker says handing me a bucket
"you bought that big ass bucket for all of us" benny laughs
"yeah there is a lot you people so i kinda figured this was easier" i smile
we approach the group and paco is play fighting with yea yea which i kinda funny because Paco is 5'11 and yea yea is like 5'5.
"paco pick on someone your own size" i sigh
"what do you meannnn, this kid picking on me" he said
"guys i got us a bucket and we are all going to share it" i tell them
"but i don't want to hold it so who wants to?" i laugh
"i will" benny says right next to me smirking and i just glare at him.
i don't know what this kid is up to but imma shut that shit down real quick.
the rest of the day we play at the arcade and everyone is getting along. Paco and Benny have taken a liking to one other. and me , Val, and Paula have been doing our thing. everything seems to be going normal.
skip a few weeks, we are all friends again. We hangout at school everyday and try to hangout with each other outside of school atleast once a week. Me, Val, and Paula are every close while Benny and Paco are right asf.
right now me, val, and paula are having a sleepover at my house. we made cakes and i bought a bunch of snacks and ice cream so we can watch a scary movie. but for now we are just sitting in my living room and i'm painting my nails while they look into magazines.
"you know i'm kinda feelin someone right now" paula sighs dropping her magazine
"really who?" i ask
"this guys in my math class, his name is Ezekiel" he smiles
"do you guys talk?" val asks out of curiosity
"yea he is the only person that talks to me at school besides you guys" she smiles softly
"paula your a really pretty girl and he should like you for the way you are because you are so kind but you also have good humor" i smile softly back at her
"thanks core" she smiles
"how about you guys?" she smirks finishing off
"what do you mean" val asks
"girl i know you guys feeling someone atleast" she smiles laughing softly
"i don't know but your brother been looking a lil too good" val says smirking
"oh lord" i laugh
"core? anyone?" paula asks
"nah, i like to focus on me and the people around me. i have a lot to do. i have to make sure you guys are okay including that boys, and i have to make sure mr merlin is doing well, and i still got to pay bills and supply for myself, im a lil booked for this year" i laugh
"i don't know core, you and ben boy have history" val sigh shaking her head
"no we don't" i scoff
"look core, i payed attention during summer before we fell apart. yea i liked benny but it was simply out of infatuation i guess, but when you guys talked, like for example during the neighborhood get together after you had informed Benny's mom about your parents passing, u sat on ur lawn and benny followed you and sat by you, the way he looked wasn't out of friendship i know that for sure" she says
"he's cute but i don't have time for all that" i sigh
"core i haven't known you long enough to say this but imma say it anyway, at this point you are days and days form your breaking point and you will fall apart. you been caring for everyone else but yourself and it's killing you, you just need to live and have fun, you grew up to fast to know what a childhood was" paula says to me
"yea i know, but someone has to do it" i smile
"i'm just saying, live a little, it won't hurt you" paula says
"thanks guys" i smiles at them
