hi! first of all, thank you so much for reading!

second, i would like to clear a few things up about this fanfiction that some might have found confusing. one would be the relationship between umbrella ben and umbrella celeste and the relationship between sparrow ben and sparrow celeste. both of those relationships were completely platonic! UA and SA ben and celeste all respectively shared their own similar traits with one another, which was what made their friendships solid. but with sparrow ben and umbrella celeste, they eventually ended up bringing out the best in each other instead of being a copy paste (oops, small spoiler for next season but i think it's a given). this story is a love story, i promise. to clear up the post-credits scene in this fanfiction. . . . according to screenrant, steve blackman confirmed that it was sparrow ben on the train and that at least one ben is alive and well. but anyway, the celeste in my post-credits scene here is the sparrow one that died (ours is still alive, there are going to be two celestes). it may seem confusing at first, but i've always wanted our celeste to meet her. i'll make the plot work, dw <3

third, this book will be undergoing extreme editing. something i really want to go back to while editing is ben and celeste outgrowing their "glimpse of us mentality" because sure, what initially drew them to each other was them seeing glimpses of their ben/celeste in the other person, but i want them to fall in love with the new or unfamiliar characteristics that the other possesses. i may or may not have used celeste's cafe as a metaphor for this but i just really want to expand and highlight these stages before they fall in love and get together next season. i feel like only that will be able to do justice to a relationship with that kind of complexity. the first season outline was supposed to go: intrigue, explode, rebuild, interest, confusion. looking back at my writing, it seems rushed -- so you guys can expect a lot more new scenes that i would use to draw these out in detail. please note that these updates will be very slow and not like the regular updating schedule i once had.

fourth, this book is marked completed until season 4 is released. once s4 is out, the chapters will be going under editing again. new scenes and chapters will be added and some scenes may be deleted to match any new information we might be receiving. andd i will be posting new chapters to inform you guys when a chapter has been edited.
