I walked upstairs to our room and saw him on his laptop, I brushed and then grabbing my designs i sat beside manik on the bed working on them.

"Why are you being stubborn manik" I said not being able to bare the silence anymore

"I am not baby, you are being stubborn today. Nandini I dont take your safety lightly please try and understand it"

"I understand babe but"

"No there is no more discussion on this, you aren't coming in there" he said inturpting me

Sighing I took his laptop off his lap and saved his work, I turned his laptop off and put it beside me with my sketches. I sat on manik's lap straddling him with my legs on either side of him

"Now listen to me okay. You are stressing and even though I do not know about your brother but trust me it will be okay. You will be there, cabir Arun navya are all going to be there so nothing will happen okay"

"Nandini"

"Babe please" I leaned in his neck and kissed his jaw

"Fine, but a single word about you from him and im punching his god damn face" he said clutching my waist

"You do that babe" I said smiling at him

"I hate that I can't say no to you"

"I like that" I said kissing his nose

"Mind getting up darling, you are messing with my hormones" he said kissing my lips

"Umm only becasue you have an important meeting tom" I said getting off but he gripped my waist

"What" I asked

"You are so sexy sweetheart like really fucking sexy" his eyes darkened

"Manik" I looked down feeling shy and he chuckled

"I love you"

"I love you so much more manik, lay down" I said getting off him

I turned the lights off, manik cuddled closer to me, his face rested in my neck, arms around my waist

"Stop stressing. Babe"

"I can't help it nandini"

"Yes you can, just breath okay, it'll be fine, ill be by you dont worry okay" he Tok a deep breath and I smiled

"Goodnight jaan"

"Night manik"

I felt him drifting to sleep soon, I shifted a little and his arms fell on my stomach when I lifted myself up with the sketches in my hand. I turned on the night light on my side and started sketching some new dresses just in case, seeing the way manik is stressed I need to have backups for my backups.

I was sketching my last design when I felt manik move

"Jaan what are you doing"

"Nothing shh go back to sleep its only 5" I said

"Have you been up the whole night" he asked and I nodded nervously

"Put this away now" he said and I gathered the papers and put them beside his laptop on the table

I slid down in bed beside him and gave him a cheeky smile

"Manik sleep" I said and he put his head on my stomach, my hands automatically went in his hair

I could already feel him slipping back into sleep making me smile, I knew he had to be up in an hour or two but if I sleep then ill be grumpy so im jus gonna watch tv or something, ohh im gonna watch shadow hunters

I turned the tv on and knowing he is a heavy sleeper I turned on the volume but not enough to the point where he will wake up. The next couple hours went by super fast becasue the show is actually so good and manik was sleeping like a little baby on me, its so cute.

It was 7:30 when I placed a pillow beside manik and hopped in the shower, I put on a very decent jumpsuit becasue I didn't want my dress to be a problem. Manik was still sleeping but he had frowns on his forehead

"Manik, wake up" I said brushing my wet hair in front of the dresser, he didnt even budge so I walked to the bed and sat beside him

"Manik, wkaey wakey" he turned towards me putting his head in my lap

"Babe wake up" I said caressing his hair

"No I wanna sleep"

"I know but remember we have your success party today and also the meeting" as soon as he heard the meeting he got up

"Fuckk, im late" he mumbled

"Shh you are not babe, you are actually early, sit for a second" I said and he put his head in my neck

"I am not feeling too good nandini"

"I know, ill make you a smoothie okay and you dont have fever but ill give you a mild pain killer once you have breakfast for your headache"

"How do you know" he asked

"Becasue I am your wife, now give me a proper hug and a smile then go shower you stink mr malhotra" I teased and he chuckled

"Sure right" he mummbled pulling me in a hug

"Good morning handsome"

"Morning beautiful"

"Chalo go shower okay, and ill make you some breakfast" he nodded in my neck then pulled back and kissed my cheek walking towards the bathroom

I quickly made him some breakfast, becasue navya and cabir already left with Arun. He came down all frowning so I knew not to mess around, we had breakfast and reached malhotra industries. He walked straight to his cabin, I had no other meetings today so I just followed him in his cabin

He didnt say a single word, he just got his laptop and started doing whatever he was doing, I gave my sketches one final touch and being satisfied I put them down, my eyes fell on the clock, seeing its 12:25 I got up and walked to Manik

"Manik" he hummed still reading his presentation

"Babe the meeting its in 20 minutes should we get going" I asked and he nodded

He closed his laptop and got up, his face wasn't soft anymore, he had this permanent frown on his face that has been there since yesterday. I hated seeing him like this but it'll soon be over.

"Ready" I asked and he didnt say anything

"Ready to go mr and mrs malhotra" arun said popping his head in the door

"Yes sir" I said and he chuckled

We walked to the huge meeting hall and people were starting to come in, manik was not the calm manik anymore his face looked harsh and he looked like he wasn't breathing

"Manik relax" I said caressing his arm

"Nandini forget it, he gets like this when his brother shows up, he will be fine" cabir said
