"mommy mommy wake up" two rascals shake me awake
well, Merry Christmas to you guys too.
"Santa came!!" Michael yells in my face
"ok ok" I whine "wake up daddy first"
"no no daddy is awake" Jace saying walking into the room "were waiting on you mommy"
"I heard you guys" I say rolling out of bed "I better get to sleep in tomorrow" I mumbled
"having fun.. mom?" Jace asks, looking at me with every color bow stuck to my head and wrapping paper thrown at me every 30 seconds
"totally, dad" I smile
this year since Jace and his filthy rich self was in the picture, he bought most of the gifts. and I'm very grateful for it, but he didn't ask me about anything he was buying. because Michael has a rtv driving around the house and Ava is following behind in a power wheels horse carriage. and guess who has to clean up this mess.. mom!
"Michael drive that thing around me one more time I will send it back to the North Pole" I exclaim, hearing him run away
"oh mommy" I hear
"would you stop calling me mommy" I shout
"woah.. sorry to burst your bubble" Jace laughs "sit down" he pulls my arm
"what is it?" I ask
"well, it's Christmas time for you too, Chlo" he smiles, handing me a box
"Jace, you didn't have to.." I start
"Yea well I kinda did have to.. open it" he smiles
I unwrap the box and a red rose was in a glass box
"Open the under compartment" he adds
I pull the little drawer out and a heart necklace was in the box
"aw Jace" I smile
"Wait look closely at it" he says
I look into it and see "Jace & Chloe" with an infinity symbol on it
"And I got the matching one" he says holding up his wrist, showing the bracelet edition
"Jace" I smiled and kissed him "I love it"
"I had a little help from Ella but other than that I think I did pretty well" he smiles
"Yes, you did. I'll give you your gift tonight" I say
"tonight? why tonight?" he asks
"mom!!" ava screams
"Thats why" I groan

"guys would you please sit down!" I shout in the back seat
"no" Michael shouts back
"Michael yell at your mother again and your staying home" Jace jumps into the car
With Michael pouting in the back, we decided to go ride around town and look at the lights.
"If I were to ever have a bigger house, I would want something like this" I point to a house
"Well, we don't need another house" Jace stiffens up
I kinda went silent after that. Honestly, we are an awkward relationship. We don't know the next step here. I don't know if we'll get married. I don't want to move back into that house. I hate living there already. The ride home was silent after that, and with the kids asleep. We quietly walked inside and got ready for bed. Before he went to bed, I gave him his gift which was a massage chair so it could help him with all his stress after work.
"goodnight, chlo" he says
"Night" I reply, shutting off my light
