Chapter 148: [Operation Spearhead X (Amursk)]

[Town of Amursk]

Upon entering the blockade which prevents outside threats from entering Amursk, the whole team itself then finally rode out in the streets as they bypasses numerous farm fields along the way. Such fields were naturally the town's source of food and all of them consist of wheat, sugar beet, potatoes and cereals (maize, barley, oats and rye), which are somewhat Russia's most important crops.

Each field spans about more than 3,000 acres, which is enough to accommodate a large number of people. Of course such said fields are all over the place in the town in order to compensate the country from its lacks of imports. If one could even describe such place, then such view was almost like something akin to a safe checkpoint in a zombie apocalypse, but only way bigger.

Due to the size of the farm field, the whole team naturally took about 30 minutes of driving on the road, before they even get to see buildings from the distance. Along the way they naturally bypass numerous people working on the field, most likely such people are the ones who didn't apply to be the towns armed forces. Nevertheless the people in this town lives much more decently than the devastated places outside the blockade.

Soon after upon their arrival, their vehicle was then parked at one of the town's garage, as Commanding officer Zhang then headed out towards the person in charge of the town to talk to the town's mayor if they have any. When they arrived at the town hall, the person in charge who led the whole team to their destination then stopped the whole group's movement as he called for the mayor.

A few seconds later the mayor then finally showed himself as he greeted the whole group.

"Welcome! Welcome! to our humble town!"

In that moment everyone then couldn't help but be amazed at their organization's auto-translating technology as they understood the mayor's words, despite speaking Russian. However despite understanding  the local's words, they still left Commanding Officer Zhang  in charge to bringing their motive to the town's mayor.

"Привет! Мы из организации, организации Разрушителя Хаоса. Я полагаю, вы слышали о нас?"
(Greetings! We are from the organization, the Chaos breaker organization. I believe you've heard of us?)

"Ah yes! indeed! the organizations name is well known far and wide, after all you are the one's responsible for killing off the chaos beings outside our walls right? It is our greatest pleasure to come in your presence"

"Понятно... Тогда, может быть, ты уже знаешь, зачем мы пришли сюда?"
(I see... Then perhaps you already know why we came here?)

"Yes! I've been informed, I heard that you guys are looking for those dreadful terrorist who couldn't do anything better in their lives but cause trouble yes?"

"Твое право! Я просто хочу знать, попадали ли эти террористы когда-нибудь в ваш город."
(Your right! I just want to know if those terrorist have ever come across your town)

"Unfortunately we haven't, we have no recent visitors in town aside from you and the people in the city up north... Nor have i see any people crossing the towns eyesight in our blockade"

"Ясно... в любом случае, я просто планирую провести здесь какое-то расследование в течение дня, после чего мы уйдем на рассвете."
(I see... anyway I'm just planning to conduct some investigation here for a day, after that we will then leave at the break of dawn)

"Then we will serve you well while your whole group is staying here... But putting that aside, why did you guys speculate that the terrorist might pass by our town? after all no matter how you look at it, it is quite unseemly at all"

"Твое право! Но вы просто не можете отмахнуться от подозрений в отношении этого города, в конце концов, исходя из местоположения вашего города, террористическая группа может пройти мимо вашего района, чтобы пополнить свои запасы, оставаясь скрытой от наблюдения, ведь ваши города действительно географически далеко в стороне."
(Your right! But you just cant brush suspicion of this town, after all based on your town's location, the terrorist group might pass by your area to replenish their supply while staying hidden from surveillance, after all your towns is really far off to the side geographically)

"I see, understand where your coming from... anyways do you guys still need something for accommodations?"

"Что ж, нам нужно пополнить наши запасы, хотя бы ненадолго... и не могли бы вы предоставить нам более теплую одежду? Не волнуйтесь, это организация заплатит вам за все, что нам было нужно."
(Well we do need to replenish our stock, even for a little bit... also can you guys provide us warmer clothes? Don't worry the organization's is gonna be the one to pay you for the price of everything we needed)

"I see... Don't worry about it! we will prepare everything you need"

With that their talk came to an end, of course note taken that throughout this conversation, the mayor itself is talking in his Russian language and Commanding officer Zhang conversed with him in the country's language. the reason why the group perceive the mayor's words as English is all because of the translation device they are currently wearing in their earpiece.

At that Commanding officer Zhang then brought with him both Richard and Yuti to the field as they try to find signs of terrorist activity, after all you can never be too sure. Due to that Kanzaki was left together with Farid as they roamed the town for possible signs.

As they roamed all over, they naturally caught the attention of some locals in the town. Since they come from a renowned organization which has a well reputation all over the world, they were naturally treated generously as they got along to the town's local. In fact even some of the kids were eyeing them as their idols for some reason, and some female teenagers close their age, giggling and gossiping about them from afar.

Even though due to that the atmosphere is somewhat awkward at times, both of them naturally ignored such eyes as they felt that this was natural based on the situation of the town. Just like how a police in a far away town is highly regarded due to its scarcity of such profession present, they naturally couldn't help but be popular to such people in a place wherein agents of the organization is scarce.
