The invitation that marks the beginning of a new cycle in my life

My parents and I were sitting in the living room talking about the new possibilities the new continent would bring to us, although I already knew of Alacrya's existence thanks to Vitch, she didn't explain to me how Alacrya worked.

The sound of a doorbell followed by a few knocks catches the attention of all of us.

"Ah! Looks like she's here!" My father perked up.

The look on my mom's face told me I was the only one who didn't know what was going on.

Moments later, Director Goodsky arrived at the living room being guided by the housekeeper of the mansion.

Principal Goodsky was a very tall lady, about 170 centimeters (170 centimeters), well above the average woman here. She held herself in a very upright and balanced manner. She wore a simple but elegant robe of navy blue, trimmed with gold thread. She wore a magician's hat, an accessory that looked like a huge traffic cone that increased the absorption rate of surrounding mana, but often came with other functions. Attached to the side of her cloak was a wand that was a crystalline white color with a fluorescent gem attached. Even my ignorant eyes could tell that this wand was extremely valuable.

Her face had very soft features that reminded me more of a friendly grandmother next door than a major power figure, but the aura she had around her made her look like a fairy; her wrinkles unable to mask the attractive face she had.

I got up and greeted the director.

"What brings you here, Principal Goodsky?" I asked as I sat on the couch again, my mom and dad left the room, but before leaving my mom said, "Cynthia we'll be waiting for you in the office."

Principal Goodsky sat in an armchair across from me.

"Lancelot you're going to start attending Xyrus academy next year right?" the director asked.

"Yes I will." I replied, if we're just talking about magical knowledge, I don't need to attend Xyrus' academy.

The real reason I would go to Xyrus academy was to enjoy the little moments of my day with the people I learned to value.

"My academy is full of skinny mages, because they have a bit of talent they think they are worth their weight in gold and this causes problems often, that's why I decided to create Xyrus' swords. The disciplinary committee." Cynthia said as she leaned forward. "The disciplinary committee's duty will be to keep the peace on campus, unlike the Student Council members who are chosen on a broader basis, the Disciplinary Committee is strictly based on force. Its responsibilities will not be as much as the Student Council and being on the Disciplinary Committee gives you the chance to work with students, some of whom are also deviants, who are strong in their own fields." Her arguments were getting stronger.

I place my elbows on my knees as I lean forward toward Principal Cynthia.

I start to think about how being on the Disciplinary Committee fits into my plans, and I don't find any particular harm in agreeing to that, I reply. "Alright, I'll agree to be part of the Disciplinary Committee, but I'd like your help with another matter."

"Please talk." She kindly replied.

"I want a private training facility where I won't have to worry about someone intruding."

I needed a place where I could teleport to Opheans without attracting people's attention.

"Fine. I can make it happen." Headmistress spoke up while flashing me a smile, Headmistress Cynthia stood up, "Lancelot if you don't mind I'd like to discuss something with your parents." I gave her a nod and she headed for the office where my parents were waiting for her.

From Cynthia Goodsky's point of view

I headed for the right wing of the mansion, where the office was.

*knock* *knock*

I knocked lightly on the door before entering. Isabelle was sitting in front of Simon's ornate table, and I turned to face me as I entered. Simon was sitting behind the table, one hand wrapped around an empty crystal glass.

I looked around the office. Shelves of books took up nearly every inch of the wall space, encompassing the entire room, with breaks just for the door, a large window behind her desk, and a brick fireplace. In many noble families, this collection of knowledge would have been just for show, but Isabelle and Simon were cultured people, as was their son.

"What would you like to discuss with us headmistress?" Isabelle said, flashing her dazzling smile at me.

"Do I need your help to persuade Iris to become a teacher at Xyrus Academy?" I said as I sat down next to Isabelle.

"Impossible!" Simon exclaimed, "Iris will never become a teacher, it doesn't suit her lifestyle."

I sighed, "we will have to make the impossible come true, it is becoming more and more apparent that the ability of many graduates as a mage is becoming less than satisfactory, the cause of this and both the lack of skills of the students themselves, there are already people that doesn't have its full potential thanks to the lack of a good teacher. And with the discovery of a new continent, we need to produce first class mages in the theoretical and combat fields."

It won't be long before the war between Dicathen and Alacrya starts so high quality mages are essential if we want to win the future battle.

Simon and Isabelle looked at each other and sighed.

"I'll be busy for the next few days so I won't be able to accompany you two." Simon spoke.

"I'll go with you headmistress." Said Isabelle, a smile formed on her lips she asked: "Is Priscilla going with us too?"

"Yes, even being busy with council duties Priscilla took the time to join us on this little adventure."
