Akshara had realized her feelings for Abhimanyu and wrote him a letter, asking him to give her some time. She wrote that she loved him but they should wait to let the whole situation become better before talking about their relationship. Harshvardhan stole the letter and tried to destroy it so Abhimanyu never saw it.

As he never saw it, he did not respond. Akshara thought Abhimanyu does not want to wait for her and wants to move on. The fire incident happened and Arohi lied to everyone about saving Abhimanyu. Manjiri's condition and Harshvardhan's wordplay forced Abhimanyu to bring an alliance for Arohi. Akshara is shocked that Abhimanyu did not want to wait for her but chose to marry her sister instead. She thinks it is their mutual decision and that she should not come in between them.

After Arohi-Abhimanyu's tilak, Manish reveals his old friend, Manoj Gupta has asked for Akshara's hand for his grandson- Samarthya Gupta. Samarthya is a psychiatrist. Akshara meets him and they reveal to each other that have other people in their hearts. They agree to keep up a ruse to stop their families from forcing them into a marriage.

Arohi gets taunted by Mahima post which she decides to pursue MD unethically. Akshara sees an accident case in the hospital. This reminds her of Sirat's death and she disappears. Abhimanyu finds her and brings her home. Arohi accuses her for worrying everyone and delaying preparations for her Ganesh Pujan function. As usual Goenkas are mute spectators. Abhimanyu is shocked seeing everyone treat Akshara like that and doubts the dynamics between the sisters.

Akshara prepares a card and gets tired. Goenkas leave her and go for the function. Later, they call her to come as they left the card home too. Akshara meets rain on her way. This halths her but Abhimanyu brings her to temple.

Names gets switched and Arohi shouts at her. Abhimanyu defends her but Akshara is hurt and leaves. Samarthya spots her and takes her home. Later, while dropping Arohi home upon Manjiri's insistence, Abhimanyu spots Samarthya from afar and feels hurt. Samarthya and Akshara's friendship blossoms. He encourages her to heal and takes her to Naira's Dance Academy which helps her feel connected with her mother.

During Arohi and Abhimanyu's engagement; Abhimanyu feels shocked to know about talks of Akshara and Samarthya. He burns with envy and hurt. Fire bursts at the venue due to Arohi, Akshara gets stuck. Abhimanyu saves her but Akshara gets confused and thinks Samarthya saved her.

Akshara is critical, Abhimanyu struggles seeing her condition. Akshara is saved and later, Samarthya reveals to her that Abhimanyu saved her. Birlas and Goenkas are staying under one roof as Birla house was not in living condition and under repairs.

Akshara is brought home and Samarthya's grandparents come visit her. Birlas and Arohi are shocked to see the status of Guptas. Harshvardhan strives to impress them while Arohi gets jealous. She gets into an arguement with Akshara which earns her a slap from Akshara. Akshara is hurt and sad. Abhimanyu spots her in that condition and takes her to the terrace where they have a heart to heart. Akshara talks about Sirat's vow and Abhimanyu encourages her to let go of the burden.

Arohi creates a drama. Her misdeeds come to light, Abhimanyu breaks off the alliance and Arohi creates a ruckus.

Akshara gives it back to everyone and takes no nonsense. Arohi accidently pushed her down the stairs and Kairav & Vansh blame her for hurting her. Manish wants Abhimanyu out of Akshara's life. Abhimanyu wants to fight for them but then withdraws thinking that Manish is right in thinking Samarthya suits Akshara better. Akshara gets angry at everyone for assuming her thoughts and deciding for her without taking her feelings into account. She decides to leave them all.

She takes help from Samarthya and is leaving. Neil discovers the letter that Harshvardhan had earlier sought to destroy and gives it to Abhimanyu. Akshara discovers Samarthya has feelings for her right before her train is about to leave Udaipur.

One month goes by, Abhimanyu recalls all that has happened. He, along with Kairav are searching high and low for Akshara as her whereabouts are unknown.

Abhimanyu gets a lead and decides to go find her. He vows to share all his feelings with her and thereafter leave everything in her hands.

This is the story of Book 1, I hope first time readers could follow the basic plot.
