Robin's POV

After a little while of just sitting with Steve in the washroom, everyone started to slowly file out and get their sleeping bags ready for the sleepover.

Nancy, Max and I would be sleeping in my room. Eddie, Dustin and Steve would sleep in Steve's, Erica, Eleven and Lucas in Nancy's room, Will, Jonathan, Argyle and Mike in Eddie's.

Everyone was using the downstairs bathroom to get changed while Nancy helped me get cleaned up.

I was extremely dizzy and my head was pounding. Not to mention, I also had dried up blood on my face and clothes.

Nancy pulled me up and sat me on the counter, grabbing a cloth to get rid of the blood.

"I'm sorry about this, Nance" I said, while she was wiping blood off of my face.

"There's nothing to be sorry about, you did nothing wrong" She furrowed her eyebrows, concentrating on my face. When she did this, it gave me so many butterflies and I didn't really know why. Nance and I were just friends.

"I know, I just feel bad that everyone has to treat me like a baby" I whined, sounding more like a child then I ever have.

"Hey, no one's treating you like a baby, we all love you and want just want you to be safe" She smiled, grabbing my face, sending a shiver down my spine.

"Thanks, Nance. So... who's this mystery guy?" I asked, changing the subject.

"No one" she firmly stated "Are you interested in anyone?"

"Aha, flipping the question on me! Well, since you asked, I'm like super single and I'm glad about it" I completely lied.

"You didn't answer my question" Nancy threw out the cloth "Do you like someone?"

"Are you all done with getting rid of the blood?" I changed the subject once again. Nancy hummed in response, it was kind of cute.

"Thanks, Nance" I smiled at her.

"Now, we have to deal with these blood covered clothes. Because somehow, you were able to cover yourself, me and Steve with your bloody puke" she joked.

Nancy grabbed a pile of clothes and set it on the counter "Arms up"

"What?" I asked, genuinely confused.

"Rob, you can barely focus on objects, I'm not going to stand here and watch you fail at dressing yourself" She stated.

My cheeks blushed bright red, I'm sure of it. I think the reason I felt like that is because a girl as pretty as Nancy had never been that close to me before.

I obeyed and lifted my arms in the air. Nancy removed my top and put one of Eddie's old shirts on me to replace it. I could almost swear that I saw her staring, but I could barely focus, so maybe I was seeing things.

Once she had finished helping me get changed, she got changed as well, and from what I could see, I knew right then that I really liked Nancy Wheeler.

She was beautiful, smart, caring, charismatic, passionate and honestly one of the best people I had ever met.

I wanted Nancy Wheeler to be mine.

But she couldn't be, she didn't like girls, no girls liked girls, only me. I was the abnormal one, I was the broken one, no other girls were like that and especially Nancy Wheeler.
