Steve's POV

It had been the one week mark at midnight and when I woke up, I felt ten times worse.

I looked at my surroundings and realized that I was alone in my bed. I tried to get up, but I couldn't move.

It was like I was paralyzed.

I tried yelling for help but my voice decided to disappear along with the ability to move.

After about five minutes of laying down in my bed like that, I tried to get up. I used all of my strength and I was able to stand up before I fell to the floor.

Everyone seemed to have heard the bang and they all ran into my room. Eddie was the first person by my side and he looked super stressed.

"Steve, talk to me. What's wrong?" He yelled.

I couldn't talk and everything I tried to say just came out as muffled rasps.

"Someone get a pen...and paper" Nancy said to the group. Soon after, Dustin ran back into the room, pen and paper in hand.

I wrote down 'Can't move. Can't talk' in a messy scribble, my hands weren't entirely working.

"Get some water and heating pads while I get Steve into bed" Eddie told the group as they rushed out of the room.

Eddie practically picked me up and gracefully placed me in my bed. This is when I noticed that he was shirtless and his hair was wet he must've just gotten out of the shower.

As hot as this sight was, I was more concerned about my sudden lack of abilities.

"Jeez, Harrington. You really know how to get all the attention" Eddie joked.

I wasn't in the mood, so I just patted the bed beside me and layed on his chest when he leaned back onto the bed.

I was able to mutter a quiet "I'm scared, Munson".

This visibly worried Eddie and he responded with "Don't worry, whatever girl you love will love you back and this will all be okay again" as he brushed his fingers through my hair.

"That's the problem" I was able to whisper "it's not a girl.

I can't believe I said that.

Eddie was about to say something when everyone burst back into the room. They all sat down and waited for some sort of miracle.

"Okay so, I was reading more and it turns out the plant can grow into your brain which causes some minor problems. But nothing fatal. So, this is a regular symptom" Jonathan broke the silence.

"What? You mean I'm gonna get like brain damage?" I whispered.

"The worst thing that's ever happened brain-wise was a slight drop in IQ" Nancy informed me.

"I'm already stupid enough as it is- wait- Where's Robin?" I asked, noticing she wasn't here for any of this.

"She slept in" Nancy replied.

"Nance, what if this is happening to her too?" Max asked.

"Shit" Dustin said as everyone ran out of the room.

Eddie put me in the rolly-chair at my desk and pushed me to his room, because Robin slept there last night instead of upstairs.

We walked into an unconscious Robin. Shaking and bleeding from her ears and eyes.

That wasn't even the worst part.

She was floating.
