• Chapter eleven •

A/N- Literally like a few hours after I posted the last chapter, I got laryngitis. I feel like y'all are manifesting this story to happen to me cuz you think I might kill off a character or two 😭😭

Steve's POV

We all watched as Robin was laying down in mid air.

Nancy ran up onto the bed along with Jonathan and they tried to shake her awake.

"ROBIN?? WAKE UP!! WHAT'S WRONG WITH HER?" Nancy yelled.

"I DON'T KNOW, NANCE. WE NEED TO WAKE HER UP" Jonathan yelled back.

Suddenly, a figure pushed past me with a glass of water in hand.

Eddie had left the room, no one noticed and when he came back, he dumped a glass of water on Robin.

Af first, I thought that it was stupid, but then she fell back down to the bed and started breathing heavily.

Nancy fell to her knees and pulled Robin onto her lap.

"Robin. You're okay, I've got you" Nancy whispered to her.

Robin looked almost paralyzed, she was shaking, yet she couldn't control her arms or legs.

She was extremely pale and her eyes looked terrified.

"Okay, get some blankets, heating pads, heaters, hot drinks, hot food... anything hot really" Jonathan told the group.

Eddie was able to help me walk up the stairs, I could barely move my legs and he was doing most of the work.

On the other hand, Robin wasn't talking or moving, but she was still breathing, so Argyle picked her up and carried her up to the living room.

Once we sat down, we all turned our attention to Robin. She seemed to have been blinking her eyes weirdly and then Will caught on.

"It's Morse code! She's blinking out words so we can communicate. It's like what I did when the Mind Flayer got me"

After everything went down, we all learned Morse Code in case it happened again. We all payed attention to her sporadic blinking pattern.

After about 30 seconds, Dustin got it "She said 'The plant is killing me. It's part of the hive mind'"

"So, what? Part of the hive mind got implanted in them or something?" Max asked.

"Wait, didn't you guys get strangled by the vines?" Lucas said to me.

"Uhm... yeah" I answered with a raspy voice.

"Maybe when it touched you, it planted the flower. It sensed your weaknesses" Dustin noted.

"Then why isn't this happening to me?" Nancy asked.

"Duh. You don't have a shit love life. These idiots do" Erica added.

"Wow Erica, thanks for that" I whispered.

"Steve..." Robin mumbled, we all faced towards her, she was regaining movement "It hurts... You have to confess before it's too late"

"'Before it's too late'? What do you mean? Robin?" I asked.

I looked up at her and her eyes were shut.

"ROBIN?" I yelled "WAKE UP! I CAN'T LOSE YOU"
