as i put my backpack down on a chair, i heard that i got a text

connie hey are you coming to laurels book party?
parker no i wish tho. i'm at cheer practice
connie well wanna hang out after?
parker sure, meet at my pool?

"hey parker cmon!" i heard coach yell from behind me
i sighed while standing up, walking to the group i already wished this practice was over. maybe because i was excited to see conrad
"hey coach" i called out "before we start can i talk to you about something?"
she nodded, pulling me aside "what's up" she asked me .
"so i'm a deb and we need to raise money, so i was wondering if sometime this summer i could hold an event here. like people pay to try cheering" i paused
"a fundraiser?" she raised her eyes
"yes!" i told her a bit loudly "sorry, but yes. like a fundraiser"
she simply laughed and nodded "yes you can do that. just make sure to give me dates, alright" she pushed me to the team "now let's go"

i saw conrad sitting by my pool in my backyard, his legs dipped in the pool, the same red hoodie her was wearing from this summer
i made my way outside to sit next to him "hey" i say softly, making his head turn my way with a tired smile "what's wrong?" i asked, sitting down. our legs brushed against each other in the pool and our shoulders stayed touching
"belly just yelled at me for crashing her date" he informed me
"she went on a date?" i asked him in awe but he gave me a look that said 'that's not we're talking about right now' "right sorry, why'd you crash her date?"
"i didn't, jere did" he said, looking at the water "jere got jealous because she was in a date with someone that wasn't him"
"oh" i said, all i said. until "so what's going on with you and nicole?"
"um nothing?" he exclaimed "what would be happening with me and nicole?"
"oh nothing, it's just that i saw the two of you making out at the bonfire" i said "looked like something was happening to me"
"you jealous?" he looked at me a smirked
yes i am. but like i would actually tell him that
i scoffed "no"
he hummed and said "sure, i mean i would be too" he paused "if you were making out with someone that wasn't me"
my eyes widen and my cheeks redden at what he said, and he only laughed at my reaction
"but so you know, that was just a one time thing" he exclaimed while leaning his face closer to mine
"you and nicole?" i asked and he nodded, leaning in even closer, i don't even know how that is possible "you sure?"
"positive" he said before kissing my lips
woah, i thought . i can't believe hes actually kissing me, and i'm kissing him
i parted my lips from his for a second "was this just a one time thing?" i questioned
he smirked at me and shrugged "i don't want it to be" he told me
i smiled and stood up, holding my hand out for him to take "wanna go to my room?"
"and do what?" he wondered, taking my hand and i helped him up
"we're not having sex conrad" i pointed to fingers at him, im not ready for that
he laughed and raised his hands up in defense "i didn't say anything about that"
holding his hand, i took him inside and we both made our way up to my room
