A lady in a pink dress, on her Japanese bike
with a brown basket to hold her things
Rides through the streets of Chiang Mai
hopeful about what tomorrow could bring
Will she finally get what she's always wanted?
Will she find the love she has searched for years?
Will she make a mess of her life over and over?
Will she conquer her demons and fears?
In front of her is the man she loves
The one she protects and holds as if her own
But the man is too busy looking ahead
Too caught up with stories he had sewn
He cares about his growth and status
Pre-occupied with important, worldly cares
There's no time to welcome a new love
A Relationship would be too much to bear
She chases after him on the road and in love
without any care about what people would say
This is the man she yearns to follow and keep
For as long as he wants to stay
She can wait forever, for as long as it takes
to convince, persuade, and seduce
For this lady in a pink dress, on her Japanese bike
There's nothing else to lose
