"Uh...uhh..." Kael didn't know what to do, he was frozen still looking at the women infront of him who is looking at him with that same friendly smile, which is kinda scary right now...

"Do not worry child, l won't do you any harm. Maybe we can have some snacks while we chat?" The women said with a soothing voice, trying to not scare away the 'being' that is here

Kael just removed his invisibility, and nodded with a stiff expression

And now here they are, sitting under the shade of the tree where the mother was playing with her child

The women let him take his time to speak, slowly sipping her tea.

Kael opened his mouth to speak, even tho most of the time he loves sitting in silence, this one was suffocating for some reason...

"So, umm...How'd you know l was there? But! Before you speak, l was just passing by! I was not stalking!!!" Kael explained, visibly getting panicked thinking of getting missunderstood. Like come'on! He didn't plan on stalking these PPL or cause a Ruckus...today *cough*

"I know, l sense no Hostility from you" The women responded, trying to making this cute fox calm down

"And back to your question, l have an ancient power to see you there" The women smiled, and then continued, "This is a secret between my child and me"

Kael understood what the women meant by telling him 'secret', he should keep his mouth shut about this or else this Women can expose him to everyone

Welp contrary to Kael's thought she was just requesting him to keep it a secret, not in a vicious way

"Why'd you even tell me your secret in the first place then?" Kael actually didn't want to get involved in this shit

"Can't you already sense the power of Nature in me? What's the use of hiding it then?"

'True' Kael Thought

He could feel it, and he had been shocked when he found it out. He never thought about a Minor villain's mom having an ancient power, let alone a person who was never even mentioned in the first 5 volumes of the [The Birth of A Hero] novel he read.

But, she was someone who lived her life as well.

"So now why do you wanna talk with me? I told you l was just passing by." Kael replied, deliberately showing an annoyed expression even if he is curious as well to what this lady wanna talk about (Unlucky Bastard, passing by an Noble's Garden? Really?)

"You know....l have never seen an Nine-Tailed Fox, and l know you don't bother with troublesome things by your expression alone, but l am curious. Will you accept being the successor of the Thames Household? We've been learning about many things and doing researchs, But ofcourse you do not have to answer so sudde-"

"No." Kael said with no Hesitation, "l want to be a Rich Slacker, not do paper works my whole life as an Noble"

"Hm.. interesting, you do not need to do that much paper works, you are still young right now."

'Ah right, l am still young in this world' Kael thought, He had reflexly said that thinking about the paper works he used to do in the past

"You might have knowledge about paper works and must have done them since this is your 2nd life" The women said, Finsihing her Tea.

Kael felt an extremely cold chill on his back, not expecting what the women said at all

"W-what?..." He asked, shocked out of his wits

The women shrugged and said, "My ancient power is just like that, l can see the annual rings of the living beings"

"Like tree rings?..." Kael asked another question

"Mm, Similar, My ancient power is called 'Annual Rings Of Life' allowing me to see the Death and Birth of a person's lives, l can also tell if your time is warped" The women asnwer back again

'Sounds like a curse to me, to see the time your loved one will die' Kael thought but he held himself back from saying it

"You don't need to accept being my successor for now, let's take things slow, you can also bond with my son with the time we have" The women said in a Refreshing voice

"I will think about it..." Kael said, contemplating it, since he have the time and this Women seems knowledgeable about things

"Great! Now let's introduce ourselves, l am Jour/Drew Thames...uh, well Henituse now" Jour felt like she won a prize and continued, "Now your turn Cutie!"

"Uh...Kael" The lil Fox responded, feeling iffy about something since this women changed completely from a second ago...

"Cute! You have similar name to my son! Cale Henituse!" Jour exclaimed happily 'l am willing to have another son'

Jour pushed back her future plan and said "So when will you visit us now? You can meet with my son!"

"Hmm...Maybe tomorrow?"
Kael was still iffy about everything

"Alright! Same place, same time" The women started to smile her relaxed smile again

Ahm, so how was this one? I get sleepy while writing, ldk

I am contemplating the ships so you can see a whole Harem, maybe...

I am a Rusher so l'm sorry if it's not good

And who knows if l will let Jour live? It depends on what l write so l can't make any promises here

But ya'know l am thinking about Angst and Despair, this fic might just end like that, but l am also thinking about fluff so no need to worry for now

I realised a truth...

I don't have good sense of Humour! No matter what l try, it's not that funny! Even if my imagination runs wild, l forget it while writing and it just so so feels like that one meme we wanna read but accidentally clicks away and try finding it, but it will never be found. I only remember it was a great idea and BOOM it's gone

I will also maybe Rant about my life like this in future chaps, l guess?
