Lafayette Cemetery

Hope and Aaron were at a memorial for Bill, the human that they killed. Hope places flowers on the memorial as Aaron wrapped his arm around her shoulders. Hope laid her head on his shoulder and let her tears fall. Klaus and Daniel were stood behind them and Hope sensed that they were there. "You
didn't have to come." Hope said. "We wanted to make sure you were both alright." Klaus said. "I don't know why we leave flowers. Doesn't do them any good. It's not much of an apology for killing
someone." Hope said. Aaron looked down sadly. Daniel walked over to him and hugged him.

"Unintentionally. You and Aaron rid the city of
those vermin. You have nothing to apologize
for." Klaus said. "Don't make it sound so noble. Yeah, yeah, I killed a few bad guys, but it was as much to get the magic out of me as anything else. Besides, it's not like it lasted more than a few hours." Hope said. Daniel then saw the black veins on her arm and sighed quietly. Klaus also noticed. "Well, at least he gets his revenge next week when the full moon comes." Hope said. "Don't say that." Aaron said. "What, it's true." Hope said. "Hope, however much you dread your first transformation, once you go through it, you're going to feel better." Klaus said.

"I don't know if I dread it or if I wish that I could just turn and never turn back. Mom said that. After the pain, it's one of the best feelings in the world. Just can't believe I have to do this without her." Hope said. "I know no one can replace your mum. But I do
want to help." Klaus said. "I know, but I need to be alone." Hope said. She sighs and turns away from him, which Klaus notices those familiar black veins from her arm appearing on the back of her neck. Daniel also noticed them and realised that things were only getting worse.

"As you wish." Klaus said before he leaves. Daniel looked at Aaron. "You okay?" Daniel asked. Aaron shrugged. "I don't know. I mean, I killed someone. How should I feel?" Aaron asked. Daniel looked at him sympathetically. "It was an accident, okay? Don't blame yourself. You did the right thing by getting rid of all those vampires." Daniel said. Aaron nodded. "Josh died." Aaron said. Daniel nodded. "I know." Daniel said sadly. "And I think my Grim Reaper side is fully active now." Aaron said.

"How do you know?" Daniel asked. "Because I helped Josh pass on. He's at Peace. And when Hope triggered her curse, I saw all the dead vampires looking at us before they disappeared in flames." Aaron said. Daniel sighed before hugging him again. "I'm right here, okay? I'm not going anywhere. I'll help you through it and help you control it since you have your own magic now." Daniel said. "Really?" Aaron asked. Daniel nodded. "Comes with the Grim Reaper. You don't have to siphon anymore. You can if you need to though." Daniel said. Aaron nodded.

He then glanced at Hope who was still crying as she looked at the memorial. "Be there for her. She needs you now more than ever." Daniel said. Aaron nodded. Daniel smiled sadly and watched Aaron walked back over to Hope and wrapped his arm around her again.

Later

Klaus and Mia were walking towards an apartment. "Why am I here exactly?" Mia asked. "Your here because she won't listen to me." Klaus said. Mia nodded in agreement. They reached a door and Klaus knocked on the door. A few moments later, the door opened and Kol was stood there. "Hello, brother." Klaus said. "Well, that's a suspiciously warm greeting." Kol said. "Paranoid as usual, I see. But don't worry, it's not you we're looking for." Klaus said. Davina then walked into their sight and Mia smiled at her. Davina smiled at her younger sister and looked to Klaus. ""Well, then, it must be
important if you're asking me for a favor. I'm in
mourning, if you even care." Davina said, aiming the last part at Klaus as she knew Mia was grieving.

Klaus and Mia walked in. "I'm sorry, but it's about Hope and Aaron." Klaus said. Davina suddenly grew worried as she heard her nephew's name as well as Hope's. ""The dark magic within her has had some peculiar side effects. She's got these dark lines, like
poisoned veins running up her arms. Today I noticed a new line on the back of her neck. I just need to know what it means." Klaus said. Davina looked to Mia. "Is it happening to Aaron?" Davina asked. Mia shook her head. "Not yet. But we're worried that it will soon." Mia said. Davina sighed. "Please, Davina. I need to make sure that Aaron will be okay." Mia pleaded.
