Chapter 5

Ruyan absolutely loved the academy. The was very fun and definitely not boring in any way, 

Around 2 weeks after Yu Ruyan started school, she broke through to level 40. 

It was surprising because she was not cultivating in any way. She basically just broke through 4 levels without cultivating. She suspected that it had something to do with her spirit and the energy in the water surrounding the school. 

//Time Skip//

"For your training, you will be dispatched in groups along with the other students of the academy around the Douluo Mainland in different cities to train, or more specifically, fight against land spiritual masters in the Spirit Fighting Arena."

"What?" An Yang'er stood up, "I'm sorry to question you dean but why?"

"Sit down An Yang'er," said Lui Junfeng. He was their captain.

The people that were sitting around the sea glass table were her teammates and her aunt, Li Sa. 

Lui Junfeng was the captain, level 42 power attack system, Sea Trident spirit. 

An Yang'er was the agility attack system, along with her sister An Pei'er, both level 37, one is the Dolphin spirit, latter is the Sea Glass Dagger spirit.

She was mainly the controller as her spirit comes with a water/ocean control ability, also as her spirit was the mother of the sea, she can lend her strength to other people or temporarily raise their power, also level 41.

Chu Haitao was a level 38 attack system, spirit is Twin Shark Hammer.

Dai Shuang was a level 37 control/attack system master, his spirit was unique, being the glass orb.

Last was their Auxiliary master, Xiao Yun, a level 36 master with his spirit being glass of water.

"You need experience against land dwellers, all your life except for Xiao Yun was spent fighting ocean spirit masters. Also, you don't know how to fight against fire."

"Dean is right," Yu Ruyan said, "We should go." 

"Where are we going through?" asked Haitao.

"This, you shall go to the Balak Kindom, not that popular, but popular enough," said Li Sa.

"Why do we have to do this again?" Haitao complained.

Ruyan stroked her horse's mane and said, "Shut up already and ride."

"There isn't enough," said An Yang'er.

An Pei'er said, "Yang'er is right, we have 5 pegasi and 8 people, Teacher Luo gets one so that leaves us with 4 pegasi and 7 people."

"Yan'er," Lui Junfeng said to her, "Give Dailin to Pei'er and An Yang'er," he instructed, "Yan'er will ride with me, Yang'er and Pei'er will ride together, Xiao Yun will ride with Dai Shuang and Haitao will ride alone."

"What no!" Yu Ruyan couldn't help but exclaim, "Dailin is mine, I raised her," she protested.

Junfeng raised his eyebrows at her and looked at her expectantly.

She glared at Lui Junfeng and refused to get on the pegasus with Junfeng.

Lui Junfeng sighed before his hand lashed out, grabbed her waist, and lifted her onto the horse with her riding in front, Junfeng at the back, locking her in his arms.

Yu Ruyan huffed and gave up, "Fine, Pei'er, Yang'er, if I get one complaint from Dailin..."

"How do you even know? It's not like horses can talk," said An Yang'er, swinging onto the horse.

"I just know," Ruyan huffed again before taking the pegasus' reins. The pegasus opened his wings and took off.

"Wait for us," Shuang couldn't help but yell, "Not all of us are as skilled at riding as you are."

Thump

Haitao appeared beside them on his pegasus a few seconds later.

"Comfortable position aye?" 

Yu Ruyan finally noticed the position she was in and felt warmth creeping into her cheeks. 

She knew that she could not get out of the position so took out her embarrassment on Haitao. Using one hand to hold the reins of the pegasus, she drew a steel knife from her jacket and flicked it at Haitao. It flew at Haitao, purposely missing by a few precious centimeters. 

She directed her horse to the other side of Haitao, just in time to catch it in her fingers, skillfully twirling it.

"Next time it won't miss," she called out.

At this time, the others, An Yang'er and An Pei'er, Teacher Luo, Xiao Yun and Dai Shuang caught up to them.

"No maiming," Teacher Luo reminded.

Yu Ruyan put away the knife, for now.

After riding for some time, Yu Ruyan started getting tired, normally, she would just call for a break but before she could she felt strong muscled arms take the reins from her. 

"I'll fly for a bit," said Junfeng, "You rest."

Yu Ruyan wanted to protest but then thought better of it.

"We will fly for a few more hours, at this pace, in 3 hours we will arrive at Balak Kindom," said Teacher Luo.

3 hours passed and Yu Ruyan was getting sleepy, the sun had already fallen 30 minutes ago. 

"We're here, this is Southern Balak Kingdom"

Yu Ruyan opened her tired eyes before gasping.

"Oh my god, it's so different from the ocean cities," she said in amazement even though it was her second time in the land world.

She felt hot breath tickling her ear, "If Yan'er likes it, we can go on a tour later."

She felt her cheeks heating up again, "No, it's okay, just surprised that's all."

She was suddenly glad that he couldn't see her face at that moment.

"We'll land here," said Teacher Luo.

"Teacher Luo, where are we?" asked Pei'er.

"Where are we going to stay?" asked Xiao Yun.

"We teachers have taken care of everything," said Teacher Luo proudly, "This is the Sun Hotel, we have reserved 8 rooms, I will be taking 1 room. You guys can decide if you want to sleep alone or together."

Teacher Luo looked at Yu Ruyan and Lui Junfeng, "Also no males and females in one room." He added as an afterthought. 

"I will be sleeping alone," she annouced.

"Pei'er and I are sharing," said Yang'er.

"I will be sleeping alone," said Junfeng.

"I will be sharing with Xiao Yan," said Dai Shuang.

"And I am alone," said Haitao finished.

Finished another chapter. Finally. Had an awful writers block so yeah.
