a/n - fun fact: by the time I write anything here I'm either at the airport or already on the plane itself😀

y/n's POV
"Hey sinsonte, wait up!" I turned around just enough so I could see who was calling me.

Camilo. Of course. I should've known.

I stopped and waited for him to catch up.

When he finally caught up with me, he was really out of breath.

"Do I walk really fast or are you just very unfit?" I asked, crossing my arms and raising an eye brow.

He looked up at me.

"A little bit of both; but you do walk really fast" he said with a small smile.

I rolled my eyes.

"Anyways...what do you want?" I asked continuing to walk, Camilo following me.

"Are we still up for stargazing after the dinner with the Guzmáns?" he asked hopefully.

I smiled.

"Yeah, totally" he smiled wide and grabbed my hand.
"I'll be looking forward to it, hermosa" he said, placing a kiss on my knuckles.

I laughed softly.

"So will I" I said in a fake posh accent.
His grin seemed to widen.

"Adios mi vida" he said, leaving to go do his own chores, leaving me with a dumb smile across my face.

I shook my head and continued walking, muttering to myself.

Dios mio that boy...

Camilo's POV
"No problems Miss Santos!" I said, jogging away from the old woman, and back towards the casita.

The last thing I wanted to do was have dinner with the Guzmáns but, alas, I didn't have much of a choice.

My mind wandered back to y/n, which resulted in a stupid grin appearing on my face.

Oh the things I'd do just to call her mine...(if u get what - keep in mind its not exact - this is ILY)

Nevertheless, I enjoyed fantasising about what our life could be like together, even if I knew it would never happen.

I didn't realise how much I was daydreaming because by the time I snapped back to reality I was already at the casita.

"Hola Camilo, have you seen y/n?" Violeta, y/n's cousin asked.

I shook my head.

"No, I was helping you boyfriend's mom, I have no clue where she is, lo siento" she seemed to falter slightly at the word 'boyfriend'.

"Oh ok, thanks anyway" she said, giving me a small smile.

I smiled back and headed up to my room, not before hearing my parents singing to Mirabel about tío Bruno.

"What did she do this time?" I asked myself.
"I don't know, and this point, I'm too afraid to ask" Nico said, walking past me and down the stairs, Rey following close behind.

I rolled my eyes.

Dios mio this family...

y/n's POV
I sighed as I smoothed down my dress.

Abuela wanted this night to go perfectly.

She told us specifically at lunch "I don't want anyone to ruin tonight", with a specific look towards Mirabel, who I swear shrunk in her seat.

I balled my hands into fists at the thought.
