"Jiang Cheng," Wei Wuxian tapped the angry grape on the shoulder. "Who is that?"
Jiang Cheng rolled his eyes but looked up at what his brother was pointing at anyways. His sweat dropped. "Wei Wuxian-"
"What?"
"That's [Y/N]." Jiang Cheng huffed.
Wei Wuxian blinked, smiling dumbly. A faint blush was present on his cheeks. "Who?"
"[Y/N]!" Jiang Cheng said louder, like that would help.
"Who?"
"[Y/N]!" Jiang Cheng shouted, done with Wei Wuxian's acting of being deaf. All he wanted to do was relax before they had to get back to classes and now Wei Wuxian was planning something stupid again.
"What?"
Both brothers froze and slowly turned their heads. There in all his glory was [Y/N]. He stood there with a confused smile and an armful of scrolls that looked to be on their last legs. He was wearing the Lan robes that looked as ever. Pure white like the light of the moon.
"I heard my name... Do you need something?" [Y/N] tilted his head a bit.
"N-no!" Jiang Cheng rushed. "S-sorry for disturbing you!"
[Y/N] raised an eyebrow but didn't inquire further and walked away, robes swishing as he went.
Wei Wuxian was oddly silent, and when Jiang Cheng looked back at his brother he saw that he was red in the face.
"Wei Wuxian..." Jiang Cheng sighed, disappointed. "That is [Y/N]-"
"Yes I know, you wouldn't shut up." Wei Wuxian smiled cheekily. Faint blush still coated his cheeks like sticky honey.
Jiang Cheng glared at him rather coldly. "Let me finish!" He lowered his voice. "He and Lan Wangji have known each other since childhood, and are said to be engaged."
Wei Wuxian blinked. And blinked some more. And blinked a few more times. He then blinked a few more times just to be sure, letting his jaw drop. "I have... no chance do I?"
Jiang Cheng looked at him sympathetically, patting his back as Wei Wuxian slumped. "Not unless you want the wrath of Lan Wangji."
"He already hates me!" Wei Wuxian pointed out gloomily.
"And whose fault is that?"
"Wah! Jiang Cheng you're so mean! I've just had my heart broken!"
