prologue

A lone figure is seen standing on a hill full of swords as the figure has a dead look in his eyes, wondering, "Where did everything go wrong?"

After the events of the tengu fire shido was depressed for many years but it soon changed when he got the idea(EMIYA:stupid mind you) to save people from danger,he decided to be a hero of justice(which he didn't decided on till he was 27)so he started pushing himself to be stronger and faster(saitama training, just the exercises not the extreme heat and all that)in turn his physical appearance was more of a lean build so he can be faster and not be to late to save someone (just like he failed to be fast enough to save Kotori) he also practice martial arts(black belt) and kendo,in the end he graduated highschool and went on to explore the world by saving people and doing humanitarian work like cooking and reconstruction,while he does the occasional kick the butt of a bad guy he never really had any real challenges but in the end he had to deal with the fact that he was not going to be able to make it in time to save hundreds of people and was in complete despair until SHE appeared and offered him a chance to be a "real" hero(EMIYA: Hero is a bit of stretch) so shido took it as the being flooded his body with prana to activate his magic circuits and to change his element and origin to that of sword and sword

Shido believing that this was a sign he immediately went and saved the hundreds of people as he then continued his journey as a hero of justice and died with a smile on his face when he prevented a great calamity as he thought that when he died he could save more and more people .............

But...............

He couldn't be more wrong as all that was waiting for him was an endless cycle of killing over....

And over.......

And over.......

And over.......

And over again with shido's ideals being broken over and over the course of...........

Years?

Decades?

Millenia?

Not he even knows at this point as he looks on head of his Reality Marble, his reward for being a hero of justice.

Shido would then lay down as he would then ponder

Shido:if only I had not accepted that accursed offer if only I had chosen to at least try to save the hundreds of people even if it killed me, but no,                

....... If only I had a second chance to make the right choices.

As then suddenly, a white light envelopes him as he then wakes up in a hospital bed as he sees that he is his 11-year-old self.

Shido(mind):what just happened I was in my world when suddenly I am sent here,is this a trick by HER(he doesn't like saying her name)as then a nurse would walk in.

Nurse:Oh, thank goodness, your awake. Your family and sister have been worried sick.

Shido(mind)(disbelief):sister!?!?!

Shido would imediently jump off the bed as he shakes the unfortunate nurse as he says, "Is she okay did??"she suffered any injuries?" How long was I out?"

Nurse(while being shaken):Calm down. Your sister is fine; she didn't suffer any injuries, and you were out for a week.

Shido would then rush out the door as the nurse says wait as he would rush into the waiting area, and he then sees Kotori alive and well hugging a stuff animal as their parents are trying to ease her anxiety.

Shido(tears of happiness):Kotori?

Kotori would look up as he sees her brother in a hospital gown with tears in his eyes in his eyes as she then starts tearing up as she rushes towards him hugging him as shido would spin her around.

Kotori:onichan!!!!! You're ok

Shido(mind):she really is alive this time I'll make sure to protect you with everything I got(emiya:well at least he's not going to follow that stupid dream anymore)
