Maddy had isolated herself in her room staring out to the beach watching the sunset
She had seen belly and the others playing drinking games on the beach, dancing and having a good time and she couldnt help but feel like she shouldve been there to get her mind off of what just happened.
But it was like she couldnt move. She wanted to get out of bed but she couldnt. She wanted someone to ask her if she was ok so she could explain why she wasnt. But she also didnt want that. She wanted to leave and get away but she didnt have anywhere to go.
There were multiple knocks on her bedroom door from god knows who. She turned them all away and told them to leave her alone.
She watched the sun go down and come back up and go back down again. Just staring out not thinking about anything.
So she went out to the beach when everyone was asleep. She sat on the sand leaning against a rock watching the waves and the couples on their late night walks.
She looked at the time to realise it was 4am and that her phone was about to die so she decided to go back inside but as she went to stand up a shooting pain went up her leg to her spine leaving her in agony
She sat herself down gently and straightened her leg messaging it so the pain would calm down a bit and when it did she got herself back up and started walking back
The pain slowed her down almost bringing tears to her eyes and giving her a massive migraine
She needed to lie down but of course the doors were locked and her phone had died so she couldnt call someone to come and unlock it for her
She lay on the day bed in the backyard trying to fall asleep when it started raining
This was typical for maddy, everything just had to get worse
She was freezing out there in the rain but she knew laurel wouldve been up in a few hours to sit in the yard and write her new book so she couldve went inside then
But then the back gate opened and to nobody's surprise it was conrad coming in from wherever he had been. Shocked to see maddy outside in the rain.
"Mads what are you doing its raining arnt you cold?"
"Yeah of course i am fucking hell just go inside and leave the door open"
Sighing and walking over to her he said "what are you doing you cant stay out here"
"Yeah obviously i know that but the door was locked and i dont have any keys on me"
"You shouldve rang me i wouldve came back, that party was shit i was ready to leave anyway"
"My phones dead."
"Oh well come on then go inside" he got up to unlock the door realising she wasnt moving
"Maddy?"
"I cant just go ahead ill go in soon"
"Maddy its raining and your clearly cold your shivering come on"
"I said i cant conrad, i cant move just go in god"
"What do you mean you cant? Your dads not here he left you know"
"Yeah i know its not that its my leg i cant walk on it"
"Oh is it hurting?"
"Yeah i was on the beach and i tried to get up and a pain just shot up my leg to my spine but its fine just go"
Conrad knew he couldnt leave her out there he hadnt been out long and he was freezing so he couldnt imagine how cold she wouldve been
After thinking for a minute he walked around maddy and picked her up bringing her inside
"Conrad put me down jesus christ your gonna drop me my legs already hurting enough i dont need to go back to hospital"
"Shh everyone asleep trust me im not going to drop you and you dont want to wake steven up hell kill you, you know hes not a morning person"
"Seriously i dont need your help my legs fine and im fine i dont need anyones help"
"Yeah yeah i know you dont need help" he smirked to himself knowing he was infact helping her. He liked that, that he could help her even in the smallest way because if he was honest he would do anything for her
he would help her in anyway he could.
Conrad took maddy to her room and put her down on the bed asking if she needed anything else before he left. She said no and told him to just leave her alone
Conrad turned around to leave when she stopped him
"Hey erm before you go"
Conrad stopped as soon as he heard her talk hoping she was going to ask her to stay with him "yeah?"
"Can you just not tell anyone that my leg was hurting"
"Is hurting you mean?"
"Yeah whatever just keep it to yourself yeah?"
"Okay sure anything else?"
"No thats it you can leave now"
"Oh ok well ill see you tomorrow then"
"Whatever close the door on your way out" she turned on her side facing away from him because she hated that he knew she needed help and that if he didn't carry her to her room she would've stayed out there all night
"Okay goodnight"
"Night"
