Trick or treat

Belly was now sitting on the sofa of her house's living room, she was wearing high waisted tight ripped jeans, which she made herself, and a similar black  full sleeved top with holes here and there, she also had fangs over her teeth and a little red paint below her lip on the right side, she was now debating on whether she wants to see Max or not after what her brother did just a few hours ago

She heard the doorbell ring, must be some kids, she thought to herself but then the doorbell rang again she made her way towards the door and opened it to see Steve standing there

"Woah, you look great, let's go?" He asked her taking off his glasses she just sighed shaking her head "Hey what's wrong?" He asked concern lingering in his voice

"I don't know if I wanna go or not" She looked down one hand on the door and the other on her hips, upon seeing this pushed past her into the house

"Tell me what is it, talk to me" Steve put a reassuring hand oh her shoulder

"I mean, I don't know, I asked Max to go with me, she didn't give me an answer straight away, but just some time later her brother almost hits me with his Camaro, so I don't know whether I wanna go see her or not" Steve sighed at this

"I'll deal with Billy Hargrove, the thing is, she didn't do anything wrong, what if she was the reason you didn't get hit?" He raised his eyebrows at her making her look up at him "C'mon, I've got a party to attend" he grabs her hands and leads the way out

He dropped her off at maple Street where the guys are supposed to be meeting, she met up with them and they all went trick or treating, Max didn't give her a straight answer but Belly was still hoping she'd show up

"Seriously I could eat a bowl of nougat, straight up" Dustin said before something came out of the bushes yelling at them, they all jumped back, Belly slightly held onto Will's arm, as Lucas let out a high pitched scream

"Holy shit, you guys should've seen the look on your faces" Max says between her laughs, taking her mask off "And you, who screams like that? You sound like a little girl" she laughs again

"Maxine, you scared the shit outta me" Belly sighed before walking towards Max and putting a hand around her shoulder, she just needed some reason to touch the girl they both turned around walking away

"You guys coming or not?" Max turned towards the boys "We should hit up Loch Nora, that's where all the rich people live right?" she asked Belly turned her around to walk away

"You look good tonight" she mentioned earning a look from Max "No, I mean you look good everyday, it's just, you look, perfect, tonight" she stumbled upon her words making Max blush, which Belly didn't see

"I mean, another full size, rich people are such suckers" Dustin exclaimed Belly dramatically let out a cough "You are not rich are you?" he asked looking at Max which made Belly shrug as she attempted to dramatically walk away before Max threw her arms over the girl's shoulder pulling her

"No, I live up Old cherry road" Belly didn't hear any of what was going on, she was too overwhelmed by their close proximity

"Oh.." Dustin said awkwardly

"No, it's okay, the streets there are better for skating" she said

"Hmm" he nodded "Totally tubular" he said which made both the girls laugh

"Mate whot?" Belly attempted a British accent making Max laugh harder

"Wait did I say that wrong? Or is it totally tubular?" he attempted again, in a different tone

"No, it's like totally tubular" Lucas imitated a Cali surfer

"Totally tubular" Dustin imitated him

"What a gnarly wave dude" Lucas fanned around his nose with his hand

"Totally brodacius bro" Dustin said making them all laugh again

"Oh my god shut up" she said but they continued doing it anyway until they heard Will scream "Where's Will?" she asked panicking they all divide looking for Will Belly finds him first "Will, are you alright?" she asks him softly placing her hands on his shoulder then her palm on his right cheek

"I am gonna get you home okay? I am gonna get you home, hold on" Mike speaks softly to Will before pushing off Belly and taking him away

"Mike!" Dustin calls him

"Keep trick or treating, I am bored anyway" Mike said

"What's wrong with him" Max asks making Lucas and Dustin give each other a look, at that exact moment, Belly knew, there was something more to this story than Will just miraculously coming back from the dead

"I am gonna go home, gotta call dad, tell him I am alive" She joked starting to walk away

She got home with nothing to do she put all her candy away and sat on the couch after changing her clothes, conflicted with her feelings for the redhead girl, she was always taught girls should kiss guys and vice versa but after meeting this girl, she wanted to know her lips she ran a hand through her hair in frustration

She was taught that those who love their own gender are sinners and will go to hell, and that they weren't 'normal' or they were sick and needed or be cured a single teardrop escaped her eye when a knock on the door caught her attention she got up and carefully opened it seeing Steve there looking totally not sober

"Hey, Steve" she spoke softly pulling him inside "Hey, what's wrong?" she held his face between her hands and made him look at her with tears in his eyes

"It's bullshit" he barely worded out before breaking down completely, Belly took him into her arms as he just sobbed into her shoulder, a few minutes later she led him to the couch pulling a blanket over the both of them she got all the candies she had in the house

"Now, what's bullshit?" she asked offering him a candy

"Nancy, she said, it's all bullshit, our love is bullshit,  and i asked her if she doesn't love me anymore" he sniffled before taking the candy

"Oh, it's alright" she said softly before pulling him into another hug "She was probably drunk, and she didn't know what she was saying"

"She was drunk" Steve mentioned not breaking the hug

"So, you're gonna meet her tomorrow and ask her about this, and she's gonna say that she was drunk, she doesn't remember any of that and she loves you" Belly kissed the top of the guy's head before pulling away

They just spend the night in each other's company, both of them very much needing this right now
