Belly sat on the backseat of Steve's car as he drove with Robin on the passenger's seat, she didn't really pay much attention to what they were talking about, actually arguing, she had her headphones on, with her walkman in her pocket

It's been almost 10 months since Melissa's death, people have told Belly to 'grow up' or to 'deal with it' which didn't make her feel anything anymore, she used to get pissed off at whoever said that but she just doesn't feel anything anymore

Over the last 6 months her and Robin have gotten pretty close, Belly found out that Robin is into girls as well and the two bonded over that, Belly has also been talking to the rest of the party, the only person she didn't talk to was Max, mostly because she felt guilty after what she said when the Byers moved away, and partly because Max started avoiding the girl

Steve hit the breaks as soon as they reached the school, Robin quickly making her way over to her band and Belly walking towards the gym alone, she saw Max getting off the bus and tried not to stare at the girl before she entered the gym

Entering the place, she saw the tiger cheer leader squad doing their thing, she spotted Dustin and Mike and went over to stand next to Dustin

"You do realise that El saved the world twice right?" Mike argued, Belly estimated they were arguing about their girlfriends again

"And you still have a C in Spanish" he spoke as Belly saw Max take her place next to Mike

They looked at each other, before Belly waved her hand at Max, who looked the other way, Belly dropped her hand and looked forward and saw the players enter

The captain, Jason started giving his before game motivational speech, which Belly had no intention of hearing she just looked around and scanned the room, but her attention was on him again as the whole gym went silent

"Sometimes I wonder how much pain can one community take?" Jason said making Belly sigh, she knew he was gonna say something about last year, about Starcourt

"You okay?" Dustin whispered when he noticed the girl's face fall

"Yeah, I am okay" she said not looking away from Jason

"In dark days like this, we need something to believe in" Jason said into the mic "So last night, when we were down by ten points at half to Christian academy, I looked at my team!" He exclaimed "And I said think of Jack" Belly gulped "Think of Melissa" Belly sighed as Dustin looked at her

"We can go out of you don't feel like staying" Dustin said

"I am fine" she said, she wasn't actually fine, she absolutely hated it whenever somebody used someone's death for some crappy motivational speech

"Think of Billy" he said Belly felt her head spin as all the memories of that night hit her, her breathing got rapid, she just walked out, making some heads turn towards her

Belly walked outside and stood there for a few seconds as she focused on her breathing, it was an anxiety attack, she's felt it before, she kept her hand on her chest trying to calm herself down

After she was calm she made her way towards the school, as so did the rest of the school

"Hey, Belly where have you been, I haven't seen you around lately" Olivia said and Belly wasn't anywhere near in the mood to deal with Olivia's shit
