A study found that before finding the man of her dreams, the average woman will experience four disaster dates and two heartbreaks.

The aftermath has me shaken. What took place last night was undoubtedly impulsive and risky. Despite this, I know I made the right choice by allowing her to follow her dreams. It broke my heart when she left, but I knew she was safe. The day had turned quite bleak, with heavy clouds, wind, and pouring rain. The sky darkened and became gloomy, and nature seemed to reflect my sorrow. The thick clouds hung over the city like a veil, blocking any warmth or sunshine. As I stood at the entrance, contemplating my actions, I couldn't help but wonder what my loved ones would say. I tried to push those thoughts aside and focus on the future.

There was a sense of foreboding in the air, as if nature was mourning the tragedy that had taken place. Rain poured down, flooding the streets and adding to my anxiety. I was lost, unsure of what to do next. I felt like I had made a terrible mistake. What would people think? How would I face my parents? My mind was clouded with worry. I was completely and utterly helpless.

My heart sinks as I say the words out loud. "My sister, Sabeel, had left, Mom. she has runaway". Mom falls to the ground in shock, and father steps into the room shortly after."Mustafa said we're going to be late if we don't leave now. The rain will only get worse, and we won't make it on time. Why aren't you two answering?" Father asked,

His face becomes contorted with anger as I confess what happened. Mom begins to sob uncontrollably, and father roars in anger.

"What! Where did she go? How could she do this? We are ruined. What are we going to tell Haroon's family? How are we going to look at Haroon's eye?" Mom sobs, but father turns the blame onto her."This is your fault! You've spoiled our kids. Look at what kind of daughter you brought . A daughter who has shamed us in front of everyone!" Father screams at mom while pointing his finger at her. Mom ignores him, as she always has, and acts like she didn't hear him at all."Noora! Answer the question! Did you help her run away?" Father demands as he approaches me. Before I can reply, he slaps me hard across the face. Haroon, Mustafa and Adeel walk into the room, unaware of what just happened. Their presence only fuels father's anger further.

Haroon looks confused, and his uncle, Mustafa, seems angry that the wedding has been called off at the last minute. Father demands to know whether I had any hand in Sabeel running away, but I remain silent, anticipating another slap. Haroon's Brother, Adeel, steps in front of Mustafa, seeming to want to diffuse the situation. However, Mustafa claims that this is damaging their family reputation and their reputation with their clients. He threatens to call off their business deal unless something can be done to stop the wedding from being cancelled. I feel helpless as I realize the severity of the situation and its potential consequences for our family.

As my mother sank into the sofa, I stood up to rub her back in comfort. But I didn't know what to say. The weight of the situation seemed to crush us all beneath its heavy burden, and words seemed meaningless. I was consumed by shame and guilt, wondering what I had done. What had Sabeel done.Father stepped in, though, with a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "Maybe we can do something," he said, looking into Mustafa's eyes. "I have an idea that can solve our issues - only if you accept.""What is it, Ali?" Mustafa asked, his voice heavy with concern.Father took a deep breath before speaking. "We can arrange another wedding for Haroon. This time, with a mature girl and one that won't break our hearts."My mother lifted her head, hope in her eyes, and then lowered it just as quickly, realizing that this new plan meant more sacrifice and pain. More disgrace."But there is no time!" Mustafa cried. "You know how long it takes to plan a wedding! We'd have to start over from scratch.""Not necessarily," my father explained. "We can use the existing arrangements and simply swap out the bride. It would be seamless. The guests wouldn't have to know anything happened. Only a few people would know. It would be our secret.""Ali, that's impossible," Mustafa said. "I'm sorry, but we can't do that to Haroon. He deserves a wedding worthy of his love. He deserves to be happy, not to be forced into a marriage he doesn't want.""You don't understand," my father said, his voice rising. "This family is about to be destroyed. Our reputation will be in ruins. Our business will suffer. Our lives will be ruined. We have to think about the bigger picture."Mustafa was silent for a moment, contemplating the gravity of the situation."I refuse to force my nephew into a marriage he doesn't want. That is not what my family is about, and that is not the kind of man I want Haroon to become. If we are to lose everything because of this, then so be it. But we will not sacrifice our loved ones to save ourselves."
