If you don't want me to be broken,

why'd you break me in the first place?

You say you wanna try to fix this,

but I'm still shattered like a glass vase.

Now you're trying to comfort me,

kissing on my tear-stained face.

I'm not your buddy, not your son,

you're not my pal, this isn't fun.

I'm begging you, just leave me be,

take your bullshit, baby, please...

and get the fuck away from me.

Out of my head, out of my mind;

when I try to sleep, you're behind my eyes.

I don't want you in my life.

Just get the fuck away from me.

Author's Note: The title of this poem is "Father" in Arabic - this poem is about my more-than-rocky relationship with my father. The title is in Arabic because it is the language that my mother and her family speak - it is meant to be a sort of "fuck you" to my dad and to commemorate my loyalty and strength to my mother.
