There's nothing that I wouldn't give
to see you smile again;
those pearly whites that know how to light up
even the darkest of dens.
There's nothing that I wouldn't do
to once again feel your embrace;
the comfort I felt when I was in your arms
doesn't compare to even God's grace.
Not a day goes by that I don't wish
that things between us went better.
Your scent still lingers on the sheets of my bed,
and on the sleeves of my favorite sweater.
And now, I sit, somber and in sorrow,
awaiting your seemingly unlikely return.
I'm broken without you, but since you left me,
that's become none of your concern.
