I left my hotel quite early in the morning, i guess my body hasn't fully adjusted to the time difference "is this what they call jet lag?" I thought to myself
As i walked down the beautiful streets of paris i saw a beautiful store "Aristocrazy le Marais" i said as i read the name of the store
It was a jewelry store with a dark exterior and Fancy bright white and gold interior which piqued my interest so i went in
When I entered there were only a few people inside, yet they were all wearing expensive designer outfits from the most expensive brands that exists
"Good Afternoon, may i help you madam?" The lady asked me as i was looking through the glass shelves which were full of gold rings and bracelets with beautiful intricate engraved designs on each and every single one of them
I stood and stared at the rings for a moment and I remembered how mom used to have a lot of jewelry, usually gold or platinum with nature related designs and expensive gems on them, she use to have a favorite necklace that she would always wear but she lost it at work
"Can you show me your finest, Necklaces?" I asked, She quickly guided me to the necklace section where there were hundreds of beautiful necklaces, Some had astrology related designs, some had a variety of different shapes and there i finally found the ones i was looking for, Nature related designs
From floral designs to leaves to animals they all looked beautiful, but one specific necklace caught my attention
It was a gold thin chained necklace with a ruby butterfly design, mother was born in july and her birthstone is a ruby so I thought it suited her quite perfectly
"Can take a better look at this necklace?" I asked, She nodded and took out the necklace from the box and handed it to me it was small yet eye catching, i looked towards the mirror and placed it on me. Since mom and i have a similar face and body shape i could easily imagine what it would look on her and how happy she would be
"I'll take it" i said as i placed the necklace on the box again, she smiled at me and said "give me a moment to wra-"
"this necklace, I'll buy it" a voice of a man interrupted what she was saying, i looked over my shoulder and saw a man standing next to me pointing at the butterfly necklace
The eyes of the lady i was talking to widened as she heard him cut her off as she was speaking "sir, I'm sorry to inform you but since this is a custom piece there is only of it" she smiled at the man who just interrupted us
"So? Didn't you hear me? I said. I'll buy it" He repeated himself, the worker smiled awkwardly as she tried to explain "sir, I'm afraid to inform you that this necklace has already been purchased by the lady standing next to you" the worked smiled as she glanced at me to point the guy in my direction
I turned my full body to face him and he slightly turned his face to see mine, i stared at him for a few seconds in shock of his handsome appearance. He quickly turned his head back to the worker and said "I don't care. I said I'll buy it. I'll buy it higher than it's price"
Both my and the workers eyes met in disbelief in what he said "is he so dumb to not understand what "It's been purchased by another" means?" I thought to myself
I looked back at the lady and she looked back at me with an expression as if she was asking for help as she laughed awkwardly
"It's mine" i faced the guy and told him directly, He looked at me then straightened his posture "did he think I'd be scared and let him have the necklace or something?" I thought to myself. I didn't move or say anything, instead i just raised my chin to look more confident to show him that i will not back down
He sighed and brushed his hair for a moment before looking at me directly "look miss i NEED that necklace, I'll buy it from you" he said so calm and confidently "No" I answered straightforwardly.
His eyes widened and mouth opened when he heard me say no, then a few moments later he frowned his eyebrows and started to step closer to me "i said i need that necklace and I'll buy it from you" he repeated. "and i said, No" I replied
He started to step closer to me which made me step back, I didn't notice the floor was a step lower then the rest of the store so when i took a step back i lost my balance
"Ahh!" I said as i started to fall, "in an expensive jewelry store will be the place I experience my first embarrassing moment" i thought to myself as i closed my eyes in the thought of embarrassment I'd face
I suddenly felt a hand grabbed my back pulling me and catching me from falling, I slowly opened my eyes as I regained my balance and what i saw was him
The same guy who wanted to buy the necklace, He looked flustered and surprised compared to his composed and cold demeanor earlier
"You look better up close" i said under my breath his eyes widened more "what.. did you just say?" He asked
"Wait did i just say that out loud?"
