-At Lapis's house-
Lapis opens the front door
L - "Here we are"
I go inside and take a quick look at the house
P - "It's not too different from mine"
L - "Yeah, I left it as it was. Except my room, but we'll see that later. Now let's have a snack"P - "Sna... What is that?"
L - "A snack, a quick meal"
P - "But we don't have to eat"
L - "I know, but I like it. I don't always do it, mainly when I'm bored or when I'm sad"
I take a look around the kitchen and see the basket full of bags with a cat's face on it, although I can't read the name of the product from here.
<I guess that's why the bin is full>
L - "Come on, let's go to the kitchen"
I sit on one of the chairs and looking at the floor I see that she cleans a lot more than I do
P - "Lapis, how often do you clean the house?"
L - "Once a week" * She says with another one of those things in her hand *
I clean up once a month
P - "Ah, right, it's time to show you that thing!"
Lapis Pov
L - "Right, come on show me"
Peridot points with her eyes a fork that I left on the sink and then reaches out to it and closes her eyes
<What is she doing?>
The fork begins to float and move towards Peridot
<Oh, so this is her power. Nice, but why did she say I would be so surprised? Maybe she knew that us gems have powers and she recently discovered it. She probably knows very little about herself. I'll play along, I don't want to disappoint her>
The fork reaches Peridot and she opens her eyes to take it in her hand
P - "TADAAAA. This is my power!"
L - "Woow, beautiful power, congratulations!" * I say with a slightly happy tone and a smile *
P - "Heh, thank you" * She says with a huge smile *
How cute, she looks like a child
Peridot looks at the phone and jumps out of her chair
L - "What's wrong?"
P - "It's almost 7pm, I have to go to the electronics store before it closes!"
L - "Why don't you just call it by it's name?" T Store "isn't even a long name"
P - "I simply describe it for what it is. Anyway I have to hurry, wanna come?"
L -"Sure"
I eat the last piece of Cookie Cat and throw the paper in the trash
L - "But tomorrow we'll take a day to talk about our gems"
P - "I promise. I'm also curious to see your powers! I don't think it's just the wings, those seem like an extra"
L - "You're pretty smart, you know? You hit the mark"
P - "I can't wait to see the rest! But let's go for now, otherwise the shop will close"

P - "Goodbye"
* I go out after her and close the door *
L - "Anyway you haven't told me what you're working on yet"
P - "You'll see, maybe I'll show you a preview, you'd be the only one to have this honor!"
L - "Oh, now I feel like a noble"
P - "A what?"
L - "Are you sleeping at school?"
P - "Weeeell ... Yes"
L - "That explaines everything"
P -"Hey!"
L - "What? That's the truth"
P - "Ok I can't deny it"
* I stroke Peridot's hair with a chuckle *
I stop and she turns to me
P - "Why did you stop?"
L - "Nothing, I just wanted to tell you that I am happy to have clarified today, it would have been horrible to lose you for a stupid misunderstanding"
A tear runs down Peridot's cheek
P - "I'm happy too Lapis, now that I met you, I wouldn't be the same without you"
I start to get closer and kiss her but I see Peridot crying harder
L - "Hey Peri, is something wrong? You're crying a lot"
P - "I don't know ... Lapis, you're ..."
I feel a tickle on my cheek
I touch my cheek with my finger and feel a tear
L - "Why am I crying? I'm not sad, and as happy as I am, I'm not moved to cry"
Peridot and I keep crying for no reason for 2 minutes
Suddenly the tears stop flowing
L - "What? What the hell was that?"
P - "I have no idea, but it will be better to leave, after certain stories that Amethyst told me about those" ghosts "I'm afraid to stay here"
L - "Then you will tell me what she told you and what these ghosts are"
P - "Okay. Actually, I'll make Amethyst tell you, so I'll introduce her to you"
L - "Okay. Now let's go"
We walk home

??? - "Where did she go? Why don't she come back?"
??? - "I don't know, but we don't have time to worry, you know what will happen if we don't keep doing our job well"
??? - "I know ... But I miss her..."
??? - "I miss her too, but for now we can't do anything but wait. I'll go back to work, you'd better do the same"
The door closes
Darkness fills the room
Tears start running down my cheeks
