Date(ish)

"I'm telling you, Neeks. It's a good idea."

Nico frowned. "I'm sure it isn't. And don't call me 'Neeks'."

Jason rolled over on Nico's bed. Piper was having a 'girls day' with Hazel, Annabeth, Rachel, and Reyna, which gave him the chance to spend the day with Nico. They were currently in the Hades cabin (cause the giant Zeus statue freaked Nico out) and the topic of discussion had somehow gotten to Will Solace. Jason was aware Nico had a crush on Will, and as Nico's self-appointed best friend, wanted to do anything he could to get the two together.

It didn't help that Nico was the most stubborn person on the planet.

"Listen, I know what I'm talking about, 'kay Neeks? You put on some super scary movie and then when a jump scare happens, he'll get scared and curl up next to you. It's perfect. I did the same thing with Piper, and look at us now!" (That didn't age well 💀)

Nico's frown only deepened. "Piper told me about that night. She wasn't even scared. You were. And I just said not to call me Neeks.

"Okay, I get it. That nickname is reserved for Will only."

Nico tried (and failed) to hide his blushing face. "That's not-"

"Hey, Neeks. You in there?"

Jason gave Nico a knowing glance as he went to get the door. Will Solace stood on the other side of it. He smiled as soon as he saw Nico's face.

"Ah, good. You are here. I didn't see at breakfast." He said. Aw, Jason thought, he sounds so worried about Nico. Adorable.

Nico rolled his eyes. "I'm fine, Solace. I don't have to come to every meal."

As Will lectured Nico on proper eating habits, Jason came up with a great idea.

"Hey, Will. Are you free later? There's a new movie out. We should go see it!"

Will, still as smilely as ever, nodded. "Yeah, I'm free later."

"Great. And Nico? Are you free later?" Jason asked, innocently batting his eyes.

Nico sneered. "Yes, Jason." he answered through clenched teeth.

"Then lets meet here for that movie after dinner, yeah!"

"Definitely. See you Jason. Later, Neeks." Will said, waving goodbye.

Nico shut the down, staring Jason down. "You aren't even gonna come, are you. Just ditch last minute so Will and I will be alone?"

Jason put his hand to his heart. "How could you accuse me of such traitorous acts??"

"Jason."

"Okay, yeah, I was totally gonna ditch."

Nico sank onto the bed next to Jason. "I don't know if I can do this."

Jason nudged him. "Hey! It'll be fine. It's just a movie, right? Besides, Will doesn't have to know it's a date."

Nico hummed into the pillow he was holding. "Thanks, Jason."

"Of course, Neeks."

"That's it. I'm gonna kill you."

...

That night, Jason snuck out of dinner to leave a note in the Hades Cabin, saying he won't be able to make it. Then he went straight to bed. The next morning, the first thing Jason did was walk to Nico's cabin. He wanted all of the details on his date. 

But turns out he wouldn't have to ask, for Nico's date looked pretty successful.

The door was left creaked open a bit, and the sight inside was the cutest thing in the world. Will was cuddled up against Nico, his hands wrapped around Nico's torso. They must've fallen alsleep mid movie, Jason thought. He smiled as he turned the tv off and closed the door.

"What're you smiling about?" Piper asked during breakfast.

Jason sighed happily. "Nothing."
