Solangelo/Willco One-Shots {Will Solace x Nico Di Angelo} ✔

A/N: Oh Dear...

Not a book update but a irl update instead.

I just received my school schedule for this year and.... oh my.

I have FIRST PERIOD gym (I don't even like regular gym 😭), AP Environmental (I just barely passed Earth science last year idk why they did this to me), Geometry (...just no), and something called mystery writing with no further explanation. What am I writing and why is it a mystery???😩

What I'm trying to say is, updates might start taking a while since summer is ending and my schedule looks like death. I will try my very hardest to get something out before September 7th (my first day), but I can't make any promises. I'm really sorry about that. This will be my first year at my new school, which will already be difficult on its own without the classes. But I promise to update and work on things as much as possibly 🙏

As a reward for (hopefully) reading all that boring stuff, here are some head canons and opinions :)

Percy listens to Taylor Swift religiously and isn't afraid to say so. His favorite album is 1989.

Will put fairy lights up around Nico's cabin to help his fear of the dark (which developed in BoO). Will had first tried to get Nico a night light, but he thought it was silly. This was their compromise.

Leo was like, super unreasonably mean for no reason in Mark of Athena (and a little in House of Hades too). I always kinda felt like he picked on people he knew he could get away with picking on - like Frank and Nico. Like he had to put them down to feel better about himself?? If that makes sense.

Nico gave a bunch of other queer campers the courage to come out (thought of this before tsats, but I'm glad it's actually canon now)

Hazel doesn't know how to use a toaster.

Everyone always talks about how Nico and Hazel wouldn't know how to use an IPhone, but when you think about it, year-rounders like Annabeth and Will probably don't either. Granted, they'd probably learn quicker but still.

Will doesn't actually like country music that much. His mom is the only exception.

Annabeth called Chiron 'Dad' once by accident. He cried.

Nico likes cartoons, Will is more into those super dramatic tv shows.

Calyspo doesn't actually like Leo, and after spending some time off her island she starts to realize that.

Percy watched Good Omens with Nico. They both cried.

Sometime I realized while re-reading is that Nico and Piper literally do not talk at all in HoO. I think the one time they do speak is right before the Cupid Incident™ and all Nico tells her is that she wasn't allowed to join the side quest 😭

Whenever Percy does something inherently stupid, Nico cringes internally because 'oh my gods I can't believe I used to like that fool'.

Frank can't swim. Percy was personally offended by this.

When they first met, Nico did think Annabeth was pretty. Not 'I like you' pretty but 'I admire you a bit and can admit you are attractive' pretty. This (among other things) is why he went along with the lie that he had a crush on her. Part of him (the religious part) probably hoped that if he picked an attractive girl like Annie, he could force himself to like her instead of Percy.

Piper has a Starbucks Rewards account.

The Stolls were Nico's first friends and I think people forget that.

Drew had every right to be mad at Silena. It was probably really hard for her to find out that her sister, the girl she probably looked up to and loved, was the reason so many of her friends and fellow campers died. Obviously doesn't excuse all her behavior though, but still.

Hazel likes bath bombs. Leo tried to eat one once, just to see if he could.

Will watched medical dramas so he can explain every inaccuracy. Nico watches with him cause he likes hearing Will talk.

Rachel reads and writes on Ao3.

After the Cupid Incident ™, Jason binged every popular gay show he could find so if Nico every brought them up, he'd be ready (Nico never did).

Annabeth has a bit of an accent sometimes. Percy likes it.

Percy, Jason, Reyna, and Hazel all gave Will the Shovel Talk on four separate occasions. Nico didn't find out til he realized Will ran away whenever one of them came near.

Nico used to play piano. Now the only song he remembers is the lullaby his mother used to play for him and Bianca.
