Ah Jiu wouldn’t lie to him.

Jiang Yun and Gong Fei were really dead.

A lot of memories flashed before Bai YueSheng’s eyes. Jiang Yun’s hearty laughter, Gong Fei’s red hair and boastful expression. Not long ago they were lively living people in front of him. One of them nagged him to sleep earlier and the other person teased him for being useless. After she nagged him Jiang Yun would sneakily bring him from sweet pearl cake. After teasing him, Gong Fei would push all the good things he had gathered towards him….

And now these two people were dead.

They wouldn’t be reborn, they had vanished forever.

Bai YueSheng’s heart sunk very deep. This feeling was foreign and strange. No matter how much time passed in his life, and no matter how many worlds he travelled to, this type of feeling wouldn’t abate even the slightest. Instead because it was suppressed for so long, when it exploded it was painful beyond control.

He didn’t finish his words before Bai YueSheng raised his head. His dark eyes were very cold. “They are dead!”

Gong Yi looked at him.

Bai YueSheng felt as though his heart was being pierced by a knife. His voice became strident. “Jiang Yun and Gong Fei are dead! Even if you look for them it’s no use. They’re already dead!”

“Even if they are dead, this was their choice.” Gong Yi looked at him. “Going to Sai Luo City was their decision. Dead or alive. Fortune or disaster. No matter what, it’s their own matter!”

Bai YueSheng threw aside his hand. “What do you know? I could have saved  them! I could have not let them die. If only I…” hadn’t lost my abilities. If only I wasn’t useless. I would definitely protect the two of them. I wouldn’t need them to take risks. I could easily obtain the position I wanted. I wouldn’t need to rely on people around him. I wouldn’t have caused them to die!

Gong Yi clutched his shoulder and looked at him in the eyes. “This has nothing to do with you.”

A ugly red color rose t o Bai YueSheng’s face and his eyes were also red. “It’s because I don’t have the power to protect them!”

He stared miserably at Gong Yi. Bai YueSheng’s face was unnaturally red and his eyes were wet. But he wouldn’t let the tears fall down…. He was weak and small, and his body was full of illness, but his strong will was unchanged!

Gong Yi hesitated and then said lightly, “Do you want to save them?”

Bai YueSheng said uncontrollably, “I can’t save them!” They’re already dead, how can I save them?

“You can.” Gong Yi raised his hand. He placed a thin finger on the back of his head.

Bai YueSheng felt the pain of being pierced. After that he felt a strange kind of power from enter from the back of head. It was though he had been stabbed by someone with a needle and then some kind of liquid was injected into his bloodstream. It aroused an unimaginable sense of power!
