It was known by everyone that they liked it
Liked the feelings they had for each other
Never understood the quotes other said
Not being with someone you love hurts

Is there anything else to say about them?
They are hurting one another because of love
Better of friends or lovers?
They will never know because of their hearts

Medicine cannot fix what was never broken
You cannot fix a broken heart with an apology
Situation after situation and talking to one another
Why did they never accept they can't escape each other?

Looking back to their rocky past
You see all the rocks and the rivers
Do you think that ever stopped them?
Love has hurt them too much now

Playlist after playlist, isn't that enough?
One of them says they're relieved it's over
The other one is still hoping for it to happen
Which one is right in here, then?

Would being together help them?
Should they both commit to their final love?
What will happen when they break up?
Will they get to be together or will it end for one?

Fantasies about each other
Crying at night every time that song comes up
One of them doesn't remember how it goes
The other one doesn't care about it

Reading and writing about each other
It is pretty obvious to all the outsiders
Endgame or not, one thing is clear
Indirect poems and texts won't help

A simple text, a call and a confession
Relationships are built around trust
But neither can trust each other with their heart

One cannot commit to the both of them
The other one feels like it is over now
One plus one equal two, not zero
If you look back, you'd never guess this would still be going
