Sylvia looked around the snow-covered camp, feeling Fawkes shift on her shoulder as she did so. She could tell Percy was confused by the snow, which made sense.

See, the camp has the ultimate magic climate control. Nothing got inside the borders unless Mr. D wanted them to. He was unpredictable on the days he chose snow, though. They'd had multiple sunny winter days and vice versa. That day was definitely a snow day, though. Frost covered the chariot track and the strawberry fields. The cabins were decorated with tiny flickering lights, like they were before Sylvia left. Only thing different about them than normal Christmas lights were the fact there were real balls of enchanted fire.

"Whoa," Nico said from behind Sylvia as he climbed off the bus. "Is that a climbing wall?"

"Yep," Sylvia said, turning around and smiling at him. "It's great. Very fun to push people off if they annoy me." She glanced at Percy. "Not that I've ever done that or anything."

Percy grumbled something about no-good competitive cheaters.

"Why is there lava pouring down it?"

"Little extra challenge," Percy said. "Come on. I'll introduce you to Chiron. Zoe, have you met--"

"I know Chiron," Zoe said stiffly. "Tell him we will be in Cabin Eight. Hunters, follow me."

"I'll show you the way," Grover offered.

"They know the way, Grover," Sylvia reminded him, not wanting them to have to deal with an overexcited satyr in love with them their entire stay.

"Oh, really, it's no trouble. It's easy to get lost here, if you don't"--he tripped over a canoe and came up still talking--"like my old daddy goat used to say! Come on!"

Zoe rolled her eyes, but seemed to realize there was no getting rid of Grover. The Hunters shouldered their packs and bows--which were awesome and extremely pretty, by the way--and headed off toward the cabins. As Bianca was leaving, she leaned over and whispered something in her brother's ear. She looked at him for an answer, but Nico just scowled and turned away, grabbing Sylvia's hand. She sent the older di Angelo an apologetic smile.

"Take care, sweethearts!" Apollo called after the Hunters. He winked at Percy and Sylvia. "Pay attention to those dreams and visions, Sylvia." Then, in a voice that seemed to travel straight to her ear and went no where else, "Don't tell anyone about them yet. Trust me." Then he was back to his normal voice. "Take care of Lux, they'll need it. And, Percy, watch out for those prophecies. I'll see y'all soon."

"What do you mean?" Percy and Sylvia asked at the same time, immediately scowling at each other.

Instead of answering, he hopped back in the bus. "Later, Thalia," he called. "And, uh, be good!"

He gave her a wicked smile, as if he knew something she didn't. Then he closed the doors and revved the engine. Sylvia watched as the sun chariot took off in a blast of heat and light. Then she turned to Nico, who was still looking grumpy.

"What d'you think you'll love about this place the most will be?" she asked him.

"Uh...what's the bedtime?"

She winked. "Depends on who you ask."

"That's got to be one of my favourites, then," he decided. "Also, who's Chiron? I don't have his figurine."

"Our activities director," Percy said. "He's...well, you'll see."

"If those Hunter girls don't like him," Nico grumbled, "that's good enough for me. Let's go."

As they walked, they passed none other than Finn Nakamura, who was arguing with faer brother over something. As soon as they saw them, though, they both stopped, Ethan waving goodbye to faer and walking away while Finn jogged toward them.
