This chapter of Alternate History, details an alternate Service History, for the fictional "Super Liner Trio" of Norwegian Cruise Line.

Lets Begin!!!

Formation: 1979

With NCL wanting to expand their four Ship Fleet, NCL Founder, Knut Kloster, looked into the ever growing line of retired Ocean Liners and sought out to acquire some.

Kloster originally intended to just buy, the retired Super Liner, SS France, but his Nephew, Nate Kluster, had an Fleet Idea composed of Iconic Vessels, as a way to attract more attention.

Kloster at first wasn't sure, but decide to go over the plan and decided to go forward with it.

Nate's plan for it's 1st Phase was to buy, the other famed Super Liners: SS Normandie and the Blue Riband Holder, SS United States.

Nate's plan for it's Second Phase, was to convert them into Cruise Cruise, as a way to keep their Luxurious Interiors, while also modifying them into a Cruise Ship.

Kloster loved the planning of the idea, and approved it and soon enough, they quickly bought the SS France and United States, but were to late to acquire the Normandie as it had already been sold to Costa Cruise's.

Disappointed, they quickly began renovating the France and United States.

The France was renamed to the "SS Norway" and was renovated to accommodate, Cruise Ship interiors, and had major upgrades to her Engines to make her faster but decreased her speed to 28 Knots, by removing the far side propellers for, and Sharper Propellers were installed for to accommodate for the higher speeds. And to accommodate for the Liners, inability to access smaller ports, two small Tenders, were added to the bow and Bow Thrusters were added the Bow and Stern.

These modifications, were made for it could catch up with Modern Ship, of the 80's.

Super Liner Trio: 1984 - 1999

The Super Liner Trio first officially made their first voyage, in August of 1983, and became an instant success.

However, despite there popularity, but the late 1990's they began to fall in popularity, as NCL began adding new Modern Cruise Ships, to their fleet ans the expenses to operate these ships, led to them laying up the United States in 1999 before it was bought by the City of New York in 2000.

The Floro was originally going to retire in 1999, but with the sale of the United States, it gave them the funds to fix the Norway and Floro for at least another 4 years.

Super Twins: 1999 - 2004

The Norway and Floro were now alone, and were now located at the back of the NCL Fleet.

In an attempt to bring back, more passengers, new decks were added to the Norway and Floro, increasing their capacity, and managed to help a bit but in 2004, it would change.

End of the NCL Super Liners: 2004 - 2006

On 25 May 2003, after docking in Miami, the Norway was heavily damaged in a Boiler Explosion, and was towed back to Bremerhaven for repairs, but was instead used for training the crew of the new NCL Pride of America Ship.

The Floro, had been inspected for any sighs of Asbestos, but due to the Costa Cruises, renovation, most of her original interiors had been removed, and only minor Asbestos was found, but mostly in the Crew Quarters.

On March 23, 2004, NCL announced the Norway and Floro would not sail agian. They were to old and outdated for the Line and NCL laid them up.

While the Floro was bought in 2006, by the City of Le Harve, the Norway was too dangerous to continue service, and was renamed to the "Blue Lady" and sold for scrap in 2006.
