Brooke wakes up. It's still dark outside. She moves around her bed, trying to find her phone. After slithering like a snake in her own bed for a minute or two, she finds her cell phone and holds it up to her face. She turns on the cell phone, blinding light filling her vision. She squinted her eyes, barely able to make out the time. 3:47 A.M in the morning. Her eyes widened. "OH NO!" She leaped out of bed, flopping onto the floor. After picking herself up, she runs to the dresser, opening it and grabbing her darkest clothes. These would be neccessary for hiding. She puts on the clothes, dashing out of her bedroom and putting her shoes on. "Crap, crap... I can't be late! This meeting is important." She finished dressing herself and looks back at her phone. "Okay.. Middle of the forest. Next to the big scary house. Got it."
Brooke rushes out of the house, scanning her surroundings. I won't be there in time if I go the normal way.. Hmm.. Wait! If I go around the hill, I can jump over the rusty fence and make it to the house in.. 7 minutes. I can get there. Brooke Thought. She would've been right, too. However, while zooming up the hill, she trips over a root and falls onto a log. The log starts to roll, consequently falling down the hill while Brooke is still on it. Luckily, she's an amazing acrobat, so she can roll on it quite easily. The log then crashes into a tree, setting off Brooke's balance and making her fall down again. She starts rolling and tumbling down the hill until she finally gets stopped by.. A rock. Her leg smashes against the boulder, getting cuts and bruises all around her knee. "Oh.. Oh god.. My leg! MY LEG!"
Brooke looks up, trying to find a way out of this scenario. Instead, she sees the spooky house. Yay! She made it! Brooke grabs her phone. There's a few cracks on it. Brooke doesn't care, though. She made it just in the nick of time! 3:59! She cautiously gets up, grabbing a match out of her pocket and lighting it. "Perfect.. Now, what are the steps? Oh. Here they are." Brooke reads the text she got from her friend. "He said he can help me get the device. I swear, he better not be pranking me." She starts taking leaves from trees, scattering them in a circle and standing outside of it before flicking the match into them, lighting them on fire. "Okay! That's it! He should be here soon. I don't know how he's gonna know, th-" Suddenly, Brooke hears a voice.
"What's up." Says the strange, familiar voice. It sounds deep and grainy. Nothing like anyone that Andrea knew, mainly because she would steer away from them. Brooke, however, would take any measures to get Andrea's invention.
"AHH!!" Brooke screamed, slapping the hooded figure behind herself. "ANTHONY, YOU KNOW I DON'T LIKE BEING SCARED!" She pouts.
"Heh. I know that. But your reaction was priceless. Anyways, I have what you need." Anthony says, handing Brooke a crumpled up piece of paper and a bobby pin. "That paper is the map of the principal's office." Uncrumpling the paper, he points to a square on the map, labelled 'Contraband'. "This is where the invention is, but it has a lock." He explains.
Brooke looks at Anthony like he's stupid. "So? I can just use the bobby pin. Duh." She chuckles at her own genius. "Hah!. I'm SO smart." Brooke boasts, braggingly being brutish and brass.
Anthony returns Brooke's look back at her explaining his true plan. "Wrongo. You see, only Student Council members are allowed to return contraband to students. You could steal a Student Council member's key and necklace, pretending to be one. I doubt the principal would know. You just have to say the vice principal told you to return that device. Do you.. happen to know a Student Council member?" Anthony questions.
"Actually, I might know one. Mueheh. Muahahah! MUAHAHAHAHA!.. Wait, what are you implying?" Brooke looks at Anthony, waiting for an answer. "Well? Come on. Out with it!"
"I'm implying you break into their house and steal their necklace. Duh." Anthony mimicks Brooke. Brooke's eyes widen.
"Wha-? Huh?! Dude, that's a crime. Like, I know I was gonna steal the invention, but I would never break in to a house.. That's just wrong." Brooke looks down, her face saddening. "Is there.. Another way for us to get the contraband, Anthony?"
"NO. If there was, I would have told you. And don't tell me you're questioning your morals NOW. I already gave you the bobby pin. Just give me my payment and go." He points to the forest with one hand, signalling for Brooke to leave. He holds the other hand out to grab his money.
"... Fine. I'll do it." Brooke sighs, grabbing a wad of money out of her pocket and giving it to Anthony before running away. Eventually, she makes it to John's house, walking up to the front door. "Okay.. I can do this. I mean, what's the worst that could happen?"
10 Minutes later..
"AHH!!" Brooke jumps out of the window the John's house, council necklace and key in hand. John was chasing after her and nearly caught her before she escaped via window of the second floor. Brooke hastily gets up and runs away. Luckily, John didn't see her, but she still almost got caught. She runs as fast as she can back to her house, right before going back to bed and falling asleep immediately. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. All she needs to do now is convince the principal that she IS a Student Council member. Hopefully that would be easy. I mean, it wouldn't be THAT hard, right?
..Right?
